Man stabbed in front of Sunset Station hotel

Wednesday, June 9, 2004 | 9:57 a.m.

Henderson Police are investigating a stabbing Tuesday night in a parking lot in front of Sunset Station.

Officers responding to the casino parking lot about 11:30 p.m. Tuesday found a 29-year-old man who had been stabbed in the chest, said Officer Shane Lewis, a spokesman for Henderson Police.

The man was taken to St. Rose Dominican Hospital and then moved to University Medical Center, where he was being treated this morning for his injuries, Lewis said.

Witnesses told police the man had been arguing with another man when the stabbing occurred outside the casino, but the nature of their altercation is still under investigation, Lewis said.

Lewis would not speculate on how many people saw the argument.

No arrests have been made.
