Louise Amanda Tezon Kirby Farkas
Louise Amanda Tezon Kirby Farkas, 83, of Henderson died Wednesday in Henderson. She was born June 7, 1920, in Boonville, Mo. A resident for 39 years, she was a homemaker, a member of the Henderson Senior Citizens Center and a volunteer at St. Rose Dominican Hospital.
She is survived by three daughters, Sharon L. Phelps and Lydell C. Kirby, both of Henderson, and Lettie F. Holland of Las Vegas; one son, Robert J. Kirby of Marissa, Ill.; one sister, Bernice McNabb of Arnold, Mo.; 14 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, handled arrangements.
The family suggests donations to Henderson Senior Center, 27 E. Texas Ave.
James J. Hawkins
James J. Hawkins, 26, of Las Vegas died May 29 in Las Vegas. He was born May 26, 1978, in Detroit. A resident for eight years, he was a limousine driver and an Air Force veteran.
He is survived by his fiancee, Paula; two daughters, Ziay-Lonna and Valenna; his mother, Roberta; two brothers, Michael and Ricardo; and his grandmother, Doloris.
Nevada Funeral Service-Nevada Cremation or Burial Society, 2983 Fremont St., is handling private arrangements.
Marjorie Emilena Henry
Marjorie Emilena Henry, 83, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born April 6, 1921, in Kansas. A resident for nine years, she was a teacher.
She is survived by two daughters, Mary Mabry of Las Vegas and Jane Henry of Fresno, Calif.; one son, Forrest Henry of Las Vegas; one brother, Herbert Cooper of Kansas; and three grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in Memory Gardens, 7251 W. Lone Mountain Road. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.
Carey Lynn LaMonda
Carey Lynn LaMonda, 47, of Las Vegas died May 25 in Las Vegas. He was born June 28, 1956, in California. A resident for 20 years, he was a plastics fabricator.
He is survived by his wife, Roberta; three daughters, Teri LaMonda and Tanya Perkins, both of Oregon, and Tiffany Ortiz of Oregon; his parents, Wayne and Carol LaMonda of Arizona; one brother, Charles LaMonda of Idaho; and his grandmother, Florence Wargnier.

Carrie Jean Snapp
Carrie Jean Snapp, 55, of Las Vegas died May 29 in Las Vegas. She was born April 16, 1949, in Flemingsburg, Ky. A resident for 15 years, she was a long haul truck driver.
She is survived by four children including daughter, Jessica Robbins of Las Vegas; and one brother, Sam Caudill of San Pedro, Calif.

Willard F. Strang
Willard F. Strang, 80, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 28, 1923, in Lindenwood, Ill. A resident for three years, he was a retired federal government maintenance man and a World War II Marine Corps veteran.
He is survived by one son, Willard D. Strang of Prescott, Ariz.; one daughter, Tonia Gibbs of Las Vegas; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.
Ethel L. Turner
Ethel L. Turner, 71, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. A resident for 45 years, she was born May 2, 1933, in Tallulah, La.
She is survived by six sons, Trent Turner Jr., Eddie Turner, Larry Turner, Keith Turner and Mark Turner, all of Las Vegas, and Darrell Turner of North Las Vegas; two daughters, Ollienette Hartwell and Carla West, both of Las Vegas; one brother, Elijah Bowman of Tallulah; one sister, Olivia Richardson of Los Angeles; 22 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Services were 11 a.m. today in Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 1189 Hassel Ave. Burial followed in Woodlawn Cemetery. Thomas and Jones Funeral Home, 310 Foremaster Lane, is handling arrangements.
Willard F. Ziegler
Willard F. Ziegler, 88, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born June 10, 1915, in Michigan. A resident for eight years, he was a shipping and receiving clerk and an Army veteran.
He is survived by one son, Robert R.; two daughters, Judy Rosemund and Jan Moceri; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 11:20 a.m. Thursday in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North.
