Don’t be fooled twice by Bush
Monday, June 7, 2004 | 9:23 a.m.
President Bush and his administration made suckers of us when they assured us that Saddam was a clear and present danger to the United States, that he had weapons of mass destruction, a nuclear weapons program and ties to al-Qaida.
Nonsense, all nonsense.
Now think of all of our military casualties, our reputation around the world, and the high cost. What a tragedy! The phrase that fits this situation is: "Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me."
How can anyone want to re-elect George W. Bush after he so misled us on Iraq?
