Matthew Boles
Matthew Boles, 56, of Las Vegas died May 25 in Las Vegas. He was born April 23, 1948, in Tuscaloosa, Ala. A resident for 33 years, he had a landscaping business.
He is survived by four daughters, Belinda Boles, Katherine Boles, Allena Boles-Anderason and Michelle Boles, all of Las Vegas; three sons, Matthew Boles Jr., and Kevin Boles, both of Las Vegas, and James Boles of Tuscaloosa; his father, Cleveland Boles of Tuscaloosa; nine brothers, Clarence Boles of Las Vegas, James Boles of Reno and Cleveland Boles Jr., Jeffery Boles, Sammie Boles, Steven Boles, Tommie Boles, Robert Boles and Jerry Boles, all of Tuscaloosa; four sisters, Diana Boles and Annete Boles, both of Las Vegas, Margie DuPree of Reno and Bettie Boles of Seattle; and 15 grandchildren.
Services were scheduled at 11 a.m. today in Thomas and Jones Funeral Home, followed by burial in Paradise Memorial Gardens, 6200 S. Eastern Ave.
Sheila Carlson
Sheila Carlson, 62, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. She was born April 6, 1942, in Utah.
She is survived by two sons, Wade Wilson of Utah and Brent Williams of Las Vegas; one daughter, Wendy Billmire of Roy, Utah.
Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
Connie Jean Chartier
Connie Jean Chartier, 80, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospice. She was born April 24, 1924, in California. A resident for 36 years, she was a hotel front desk clerk and a member of the Teamsters Union.
She is survived by two sons, Mark Surdez and Craig Surdez; one daughter, Susan E. Smith; and one grandchild.
Neptune Society of Nevada, 8570 Del Webb Blvd., is handling arrangements.
The family suggests donations to the Nevada SPCA, 4800 W. Dewey Drive, Las Vegas, NV 89118.
John M. Dorsey
John M. Dorsey, 52, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. An engineering tech, he was born April 7, 1952, in Maryland.
He is survived by his wife, Valerie; two sons, John Dorsey III of Las Vegas and Joel Dorsey of Ohio; his mother, Sarah Dorsey of Las Vegas; his father, John Dorsey Sr., one daughter, Johnetta Pierce, and two sisters, Glenda Williams and Marsha Dorsey, all of Maryland; one brother, Anthony Dorsey of Las Vegas; and five grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 10 a.m.-noon Monday in Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson. Graveside services will follow at 1:20 p.m. Monday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.
Lois Gentry
Lois Gentry, 77, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born May 22, 1927, in Philadelphia. A resident for 30 years, she was a retired artist for an art company.
She is survived by four daughters, Lois Ford and Lynda Miller, both of Las Vegas, Ruby McInnes of Auckland, New Zealand, and Elizabeth Gentry of Henderson; 15 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.
Dorothy H. Magnuson
Dorothy H. Magnuson, 84, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local care center. She was born July 30, 1919, in Escanaba, Mich. A resident for 22 years, she was a retired housekeeper.
She is survived by four daughters, Connie Magnuson, Julie Pastwa and Barbara S. Magnuson, all of Las Vegas, and Carla J. Nikolas of Green Bay, Wis.; one son, Carl Magnuson of Green Bay; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Visitation is scheduled 1 p.m. until a 4 p.m. service Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.
Clarence L. Means
Clarence L. Means, 87, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 21, 1916, in Sage, Wyo. A resident for 48 years, he was a retired owner-operator of Bud's Auto Sales and a lifetime member of Elks Lodge 1468.
He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Isabelle; two daughters, Patricia McLaughlin and Phyllis Gamble, both of Las Vegas; two sons, Danny Means of Farmington, Alaska, and Michael Means of Las Vegas; two sisters, Emma Lambert of Salt Lake City and Alice Barber of Las Vegas; nine grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 1-5 p.m. Sunday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 10 a.m. Monday in Bunkers Chapel. Burial will follow in Eden Vale Memorial Park.
William Paradise
William Paradise, 83, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 14, 1920, in Hoboken, N.J. A resident for 2 1/2 years, he was a retired vice president of the Albert E. Bowen Import/Export Co. of New York City, a World War II Army Air Corps veteran and B-24 pilot who received many citations including the Distinguished Flying Cross for the raid of Ploesti oil fields.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Edna; one daughter, Carole Mancino; and one brother, Edgar Paradise.
He is survived by one son, Robert Paradise of Las Vegas; and four grandchildren.
Services were scheduled at 1 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., followed by graveside services in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
Oscar Clark Prince
Oscar Clark Prince, 83, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospice. A retired Air Force major and World War II, Korean War and Vietnam War veteran, he was born Sept. 21, 1920, in Valley Mills, Texas.
He is survived by one son, Oscar Prince of Las Vegas; two sisters, Dot and Jonell; and three grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to a 5 p.m. service Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd.
Dorothy R. Session
Dorothy R. Session, 75, of Las Vegas died May 29 in Las Vegas. She was born June 28, 1929, in Odessa, Texas. A resident for 33 years, she was a member of the sewing class at Doolittle senior citizen center.
She is survived by two daughters, Doris Wade and Cynthia Talley, and three sons, Morris Talley, Douglas Talley and Roy Session, all of Las Vegas; two brothers, L.A. Johnson and Peter Johnson, and three sisters, Eartha Ree, Viola Green and Rubydale Taylor, all of Texas.
Visitation is scheduled 3-7 p.m. today in Thomas and Jones Funeral Home, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Thomas and Jones Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens, 6200 S. Eastern Ave.
Rosemarie Walden
Rosemarie Walden, 46, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born Feb. 24, 1958, in San Diego. A resident for 28 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Clell A. Jr.; and one brother, Jim Koogler of Las Vegas.
A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Sunday in Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd.
The family suggests donations to Fibromyalgia Friends Support Group, 2245 N. Green Valley Parkway, Suite 215, Henderson, NV 89014.
Delbert Earl Wolfsberger
Delbert Earl Wolfsberger, 87, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospice. He was born June 5, 1916, in Ohio. A resident for eight years, he was an electrical supplies salesman, a Navy veteran, a member of the Masons' Wisdom Lodge 202 in Pasadena, Calif., Eastern Star 347 in Yorba Linda, Calif., Zelzah Shriners and Scottish Rite of Freemasonry.
He is survived by his wife, Mary S.; two daughters, Debra Lee Clark and Lynda Reichbach; one brother, Clifford Lee Wolfsberger; and two grandchildren.
