Police seek man in attempted robbery of NLV doctor’s office

North Las Vegas Police are looking for a man who attempted to rob a doctor's office Wednesday afternoon on Civic Center Drive near East Lake Mead Boulevard.
The man walked into the Aydhe Rojas medical office in the 1800 block of Civic Center Drive around 3:50 p.m. and told employees he had a gun and was going to rob the office, according to Officer Tim Bedwell, a North Las Vegas Police spokesman.
The three occupants, who were all employees, left through the office's back door and called police, Bedwell said.
Not knowing if the suspect had barricaded himself inside, the North Las Vegas SWAT team was called to search the building. At about 6 p.m. Bedwell confirmed the suspect was not inside the building and said the man was "still on the loose."
As of 6 p.m. Wednesday, Bedwell did not know if anything had been stolen from the office. He assumed the man targeted the medical office because the majority of patients use cash for co-payments.
No one was injured, Bedwell said.
Anyone with information on the case can call Crime Stoppers at 385-5555.
