Poll finds support for lottery, racinos

TULSA, Okla. -- Oklahomans would vote in favor of creating a state lottery and allowing electronic gaming at state-licensed race tracks, according to a statewide poll.
Both issues will be on the ballot when Oklahoma voters go to the polls Nov. 2.
According to the Oklahoma Poll, 61 percent said they supported the lottery, 36 percent were against it and 3 percent said they had no opinion.
On the issue of racinos, or expanded electronic gaming at tracks, 52 percent said they would support the measure, 40 percent opposed it and 8 percent didn't offer an opinion.
The poll included 756 registered voters was taken July 8-12 by Tulsa-based Consumer Logic. It has a margin of error of plus or minus 3.5 percentage points.
