Former Bishop Gorman star Jason Rogers, the front-runner for a starting cornerback spot at UNLV two springs ago before he suffered a knee injury, has dropped out of school.
Coach John Robinson said Thursday at Mountain West Conference preseason media day that Rogers was the only academic casualty his team suffered over the summer.
"It was kind of a combination of things," Robinson said. "He had the bad knee and then got kind of discouraged. He's decided to take some time off."
