We all remember Vice President Dick Cheney's reaction to Sen. Patrick Leahy, after the highly respected Democratic senator had questioned Cheney's connections to Halliburton.
This must indicate that Americans are now free to follow the vice president's example when dealing with our cheapskate bosses, our most pain-in-the-neck neighbors and our most annoying relatives and friends.
But wouldn't this be just the opposite of the pious teachings and declarations espoused daily by the Bush administration, Fox TV and Republican talk radio?
So I guess we're not free to follow the vice president's example. Darn it!
