Adidas performance center store opens

The Adidas Performance Center in the Showcase mall had its grand opening today on the Las Vegas Strip. The store, Adidas' first Performance Center in the United States, will have events throughout the weekend. The store is broken up into three zones, preparation, competition and recuperation, rather than the traditional segmentation of apparel, footwear and accessories. The 19,719-square-foot, two-story store is minimalist in design -- all the walls and furniture are black or white. In-store signage is through text tickers, video and interactive screens. The store has 80 full- and part-time employees.
