Letter: Stage not venue for political views
Thursday, July 22, 2004 | 9:06 a.m.
Good for the Aladdin for having the backbone to take on the unwarranted remarks of a big-name performer. Too often, too many so-called entertainers are using the soapbox afforded to them by their singing or acting skills to venture into the political arena.
As the performing arts are packed to the rafters with liberals, we hardly need to have them spout off their views to know they are of Michael Moore's ilk. If we wanted liberal pap, we could go out and see "Fahrenheit 9/11" first-hand, or your fine readers could just move to Canada, where we have far too much of it.
