Driver attacked on Eastern
Thursday, July 22, 2004 | 9:41 a.m.
A man was stabbed early this morning after another driver tricked him into pulling over by signaling to him that there was something wrong with his car, Metro Police said.
The incident happened about 2 a.m. in the 9000 block of Eastern Avenue near the Las Vegas Beltway.
Officer Jose Montoya, Metro spokesman, said the victim and his wife were driving home when a man motioned to him to pull over.
The driver stopped and two men got out of their vehicle, pepper sprayed him and stabbed him in the chest. He was taken to University Medical Center with a collapsed lung, Montoya said.
The two suspects didn't attempt to steal the man's car or his wallet, and the victim and suspects don't appear to know each other, Montoya said. No arrests have been made.
