Joe Lano Jazz Band

Jim Moore

'Echoes of Ellington'
"Echoes of Ellington" will perform music from jazz composer Duke Ellington at 8 p.m. Monday at the ampitheatre at the Rainbow Library, 3150 N. Buffalo Drive, as part of the Las Vegas-Clark County Library District's "Moonlight, Movies and Music Series." Admission is free. 734-7323.
'Sounds of Summer'
The following groups will perform at The District at Green Valley Ranch Station Casino as part of its "Sounds of Summer" series. All acts are free. 851-3081:
6 p.m. today -- Gipsy Nights, a four-piece band playing jazz and R&B, old favorites and pop sensations.
6 p.m. Saturday -- Island Tyme, playing reggae, calypso and R&B.

Polynesian dance
The Polynesian Folk Dance Ensemble will perform at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Thursday at the Winchester Cultural Center Theater, 3130 S. McLeod Drive, as part of the Clark County Parks and Community Services' "Young People's Summer Concerts 2004." Admission is $3. 455-7340.
Ballet Folklorico

Sign Design Theatre

'Schoolhouse Rock'
"Schoolhouse Rock Live!" will be performed at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. Saturday at the Stage Door Youth Theatre at the Summerlin Library Performing Arts Center, 1771 Inner Circle Drive. Admission is $6 in advance and $8 at the door. 768-5205.
'Fool For Love'

'Kiss Me Kate'
The American Red Cross is sponsoring a production of the musical "Kiss Me Kate" at 6 p.m. Sunday at Spring Mountain Ranch in the Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area to benefit victims of natural and man-made disasters in Southern Nevada. Una Burra'
