Chelsea C. 'C.C.' Apodac

Chelsea C. "C.C." Apodac, 22, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born Dec. 7, 1981, in Simi Valley, Calif. A resident for 10 years, she was a task force member.

She is survived by her mother, Tracey Ward-Laffranchi of Las Vegas; her father, F. Scott Apodac, and her stepmother, Wendy Apodac, both of Tucson; her stepfather, Gordon Laffranchi of Las Vegas; two brothers, Shelby Apodac of Tucson and Daniel Laffranchi of Las Vegas; and her grandparents, George and Val Apodac of Simi Valley, Jay and Billie Jo Yarbrough of Las Vegas and Rex and Marilyn Ward of Redmond, Wash.

Visitation is scheduled noon-4 p.m. Friday in Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd.

Mike C. Boldur

Mike C. Boldur, 82, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born April 17, 1922, in Romania. A resident for 26 years, he was a retired owner-operator of apartments.

He is survived by his wife, Clara; and one daughter, Dana Ivanecsu of Toronto.

Visitation is scheduled 1-2 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be 3 p.m. Saturday in Palm Chapel, Main. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park.

Donald W. Christ

Donald W. Christ, 74, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born April 27, 1930, in Rochester, N.Y. A resident for 31 years, he was a retired Navy 1st Class E-6 Corpsman, a Korean War veteran, a member of Shriners Daylite Lodge, Scottish Rite Bodies, Masonic Lodge, American Legion and Fleet Reserve Association.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Mildred; two daughters, Karen Marie McCutchen and Diane Cecile Allen, and two sons, Steven Michael Christ and Brian Walter, all of Las Vegas; and three grandchildren.

Services will be noon Saturday in All Saints Episcopal Church, 4201 W. Washington Ave. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens, 7251 W. Lone Mountain Road. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Phyllis Marguerite Clarke

Phyllis Marguerite Clarke, 82, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born Feb. 13, 1922, in Birtle, Manitoba. A resident for two years, she was a retired saleswoman.

She is survived by her husband, Albert B.; two daughters, Jocelyn M. Cola and Jil M. Maisto, both of Las Vegas; one son, Glenn M. Clarke of Lodi, Calif.; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

A Mass will be celebrated 9 a.m. Saturday in St. Joseph, Husband of Mary Catholic Church, 7260 W. Sahara Ave. Graveside services will be 9 a.m. Saturday in St. Joseph, Husband of Mary Catholic Church.

David Lee Curl

David Lee Curl, 54, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born May 19, 1950, in Wallace, Idaho. A resident for 50 years, he was a minister.

He is survived by one daughter, Brittany Curl, and one son, Brian Curl, both of Yuma, Ariz.; five sisters, Carol Otis and Donna Hosmer, both of Henderson, Connie Brown of Las Vegas and Vickie Foster and Mary Hensley, both of Joplin, Mo.; and one brother, James Hosmer of Henderson.

Kevin Patrick Donnellan

Kevin Patrick Donnellan, 59, of Mission Beach, Calif., died Monday. He was born Dec. 12, 1944, in New York City. A former Las Vegas resident for 20 years, he was an investigator for 24 years with the National Labor Relations Board, a Vietnam War Army veteran, a member of Sons of Erin in Las Vegas and the Ancient Order of Hibernians.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon; two sons, Ben Donnellan of Las Vegas and Josh Donnellan of Ireland; one daughter, Erin Donnellan, and two stepdaughters, Victoria and Diana, all of Las Vegas; one sister, Anne M. Donnellan of Mission Beach; two brothers, John G. "Jack" Donnellan of Half Moon Bay, Calif., and Thomas M. Donnellan of Flint, Mich.; one grandchild; and four step-grandchildren.

No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in San Diego. Conrad Lemon Grove Mortuary, Lemon Grove, Calif., is handling arrangements.

Frederick Dykeman

Frederick Dykeman, 69, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born April 9, 1935, in Michigan. A resident for many years, he was a casino dealer.

He is survived by one niece, Chris Larabee of Jenison, Mich.

Graveside services will be 8 a.m. Thursday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Philip Held

Philip Held, 73, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born March 22, 1931, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for 14 years, he was a city government warehouseman, a Korean War Air Force veteran and a member of Knights of Pythias.

He is survived by one sister, Lorraine Rosenthal of New Jersey; and one brother, Gustave Held of Las Vegas.

Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Friday in King David Memorial Chapel and Cemetery, 2697 Eldorado Lane.

Dieter Krawitz

Dieter Krawitz, 83, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospice. He was born Aug. 11, 1920, in Germany. A resident for 20 years, he was a retired research and development administrator.

He is survived by two sons, Karl Krawitz of Overland Park, Kan., and Gary Krawitz of Sherman, Texas; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St.

Rosa E. Morrison

Rosa E. Morrison, 50, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born Jan. 21, 1954, in St. Joseph, La. A resident for 37 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by two daughters, Deborah Wesley and Shinequa Morris, both of Las Vegas; eight brothers, Leon Morrison of California, and the Rev. Danny Morrison, Larry Morrison, Richard Morrison, Ronald Morrison, Milton Morrison Jr., Bryan Morrison and the Rev. Robert Poole Jr., all of Las Vegas; six sisters, Shirley Dodd, Karren Pitts, Troy White, Wuanadra Morrison and Sondra Carter, all of Las Vegas and Catherine Puryea of Louisiana; and nine grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 2-8 p.m. Friday in Thomas and Jones Funeral Home, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in New Light Missionary Baptist Church, 1165 Lawry Ave. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Thomas James Mountford

Thomas James Mountford, 27, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 5, 1977, in Portage, Wis. A resident for five years, he was a network systems engineer for a cable company.

He is survived by his wife, Jillian; his mother, Deborah Corning of Baraboo, Wis., and Thomas Mountford of Portage, Wis.

Visitation is scheduled 2-5 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday in Palm Chapel, Cheyenne.

Jerry Ploke

Jerry Ploke, 68, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born June 4, 1936, in Illinois. A resident for 30 years, he was a retired high mast electrician for the Navy.

He is survived by one brother, Don Ploke; and two sisters, Susan Schweers and Penny Horn.

Richard Alan Rupnik

Richard Alan Rupnik, 46, of Pahrump died Tuesday. A postal worker, he was born Oct. 16, 1957, in California.

He is survived by his father, Donald Rupnik of Pahrump; one brother, Curtis Rupnik, and one sister, Mendy Rupnik, both of Montana.

Stormy W. Sanchez

Stormy W. Sanchez, 69, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born Aug. 23, 1934, in Lawton, Okla. A resident for one year, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by two daughters, Diana Arevalo of Las Vegas and Theresa Sanchez of Albuquerque; one son, Leonard D. Sanchez Jr., and two brothers, William Andrew Postlethwait Jr. and Joseph Richard Postlethwait, all of Albuquerque; 10 grandchildren; one great-grandchild.

John Peter Schaefer

John Peter Schaefer, 89, of Henderson died Tuesday in Henderson. He was born Jan. 8, 1915, in Wilmette, Ill. A resident for 19 years, he was a retired U.S. Postal Service mail carrier for 30 years and an Air Force veteran.

He is survived by two daughters, Sharon Lee of LaMesa, Calif., and Janet Borelli of San Diego; one son, William D. Schaefer of Vista, Calif.; one sister, Catherine Smith of Highwood, Ill.; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Alfred M. Skowronek

Alfred M. Skowronek, 68, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born May 18, 1936, in Washington, D.C. A resident for 37 years, he was a retired auto mechanic, a Marine Corps veteran and a member of the American Legion.

He is survived by his wife, Aelene.

Amelia 'Amy' Solarez

Amelia "Amy" Solarez, 22, of Las Vegas died July 8 in Las Vegas. A waitress in the catering industry, she was born Aug. 31, 1981, in Las Vegas.

She is survived by her mother, Linda K. Betka; and her father, Joseph M. Solarez.

Services will be 10 a.m. Monday in Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd. Burial will be in Paradise Memorial Gardens, 6200 S. Eastern Ave.

Robert Stankiewicz

Robert Stankiewicz of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. A maintenance worker for a rental car company, he was born in Pennsylvania.

He is survived by his mother, Julia Stankiewicz of Levittown, Pa.; one sister, Carol A. Roussey of Pennsylvania; and one brother, Bennett J. Stankiewicz of Langhorne, Pa.

James 'Jim' Stratton

James "Jim" Stratton, 50, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospice. He was born May 9, 1954, in Fresno, Calif. A resident for 40 years, he was a sawyer for a truss manufacturer, a Vietnam War Navy veteran and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

He is survived by two daughters, Kristel Estes and Melissa Gresko, and his companion, Susan Harrelson, all of Las Vegas; his mother, Corine Back, and one brother, Kenny Back, both of Henderson; one sister, Kathleen Lind of Quartz Hill, Calif.; and his ex-wife, Gale DeLeeuw of Las Vegas; and one grandchild.

A memorial service will be 3 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson.

Larry Striet-Catullo

Larry Striet-Catullo, 68, of Las Vegas died June 24 in New York. He was born April 16, 1936, in New York. A resident for numerous years, he owned a private car service and was an Army veteran.

He is survived by one son, John Catullo.

Glen Toliver Jr., 66, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 6, 1938, in Dallas. A resident for many years, he was a hotel-casino porter.

He is survived by one brother, Freddie McCormick of Las Vegas.

Jerry W. Ulrich Sr.

Jerry W. Ulrich Sr., 72, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born Oct. 15, 1931, in Cape Girardeau, Mo. A resident for 40 years, he was a retired printer and a Korean War Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Rosella; three daughters, Deborah Buckner and Machele West, both of Las Vegas and Cathy Hunt of Cleburne, Texas; two sons, Jerry W. Ulrich Jr. of Twin Falls, Idaho, and Eric Ulrich of Las Vegas; 12 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd.

Edna Juanita Walden-Westby

Edna Juanita Walden-Westby, 65, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born May 28, 1939, in Salina, Utah. A resident for 47 years, she was a foster parent, a lifetime member of the National PTA, a Baby Boarder with the LDS Church, 1986 Mother of the Year, and a Straight from the Heart award recipient by Channel 8 in 1985.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Michael Scott Walden and Randall Leonard Walden; one daughter, Lori Lea Walden; and one sister, Janice Lee Neilson.

She is survived by one daughter, Jerri Pratt of Las Vegas; two sisters, Helen Price and Aurella Goodale, both of Henderson; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 10 a.m. Monday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will follow at 1 p.m. Monday in Bunkers Chapel. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens, 7251 W. Lone Mountain Road.

Gayle G. Williams aka Brown

Gayle G. Williams aka Brown, 66, of Las Vegas died Friday. A homemaker, she was born March 22, 1938, in Minnesota.

She is survived by her companion, Donald Brown of Las Vegas; three daughters, Kimberly Kjorlean (Brown) of California and Machelle (Brown) Swift and Traci (Brown) Devine, both of Las Vegas; one brother, David Hermance of Colorado; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Harvey Wolfson, 54, of Las Vegas died July 4 in Las Vegas. A limousine driver, he was born Jan. 11, 1950, in New York.

He is survived by his common-law wife, Jennifer Lee Roach of Las Vegas.

Jeff Wood

Jeff Wood, 48, of Boulder City died Tuesday in Boulder City. He was born Dec. 3, 1955, in Boulder City. A lifelong resident, he was a hospital registered nurse.

He is survived by three daughters, Jennifer, Melanie and Heather; one son, Neil; his mother, Bernice Wood; five brothers, LeRoy Simpson, Randy Simpson, Steve Wood, Brian Wood and Jamie Wood; and seven grandchildren.
