Raleigh, N.C.-based Winston Hotels Inc., a real estate investment trust and owner of limited-service, upscale extended-stay and full-service hotels, announced this week that it exited the Las Vegas market when it sold its 128-room Hampton Inn hotel in northwest Las Vegas to Las Vegas-based McKellar Development Group Inc.

The sale price was $7.2 million in cash. The hotel, at 7100 Cascade Valley Court, is near Mountain View Hospital and employs 31 people.

McKellar Development Group, owned by Kim McKellar, in Las Vegas also owns and operates three Town & Country Manor hotels along Boulder Highway and the Comfort Inn, across from the Hard Rock hotel-casino.
