Bessie Marie Cardwell
Bessie Marie Cardwell, 83, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospice. She was born Nov. 17, 1920. A resident for 38 years, she was a homemaker and a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
She is survived by three sons, Melvyn L. Segler of Boron, Calif., Ronald G. Segler of Roswell, Ga., and Kurt R. Segler of Henderson; one brother, Joseph E. Gault of Las Vegas; and seven grandchildren.
Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, is handling private arrangements.
Elizabeth 'Bae' Clark
Elizabeth "Bae" Clark, 83, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born Dec. 4, 1920, in Waterproof, La. A resident for 60 years, she was a retired hotel housekeeper.
She is survived by two sons, Albert Evans of Los Angeles and Henry James Dixon of Las Vegas; three daughters, Rebecca J. Williams, Leona Williams and Lee Etta Washington, all of Las Vegas; 23 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be 11 a.m. Monday in Greater New Jerusalem Baptist Church, 1100 N. D St. Graveside services will be noon Monday in Eden Vale Memorial Park.
John F. DeKenipp
John F. DeKenipp, 82, of Las Vegas died July 2 in Las Vegas. He was born July 14, 1921, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for eight years, he was a retired accountant for a food manufacturer, a World War II Army veteran, a member of AMVETS, the 602nd Tank Destroyer Batallion Association and a fourth degree member of the Knights of Columbus.
He is survived by his wife, Yvonne; one daughter, Rosanne Wright of Las Vegas; three sons, Robert J. DeKenipp of Las Vegas, Dennis J. DeKenipp of Brick, N.J., and John J. DeKenipp of Nutley, N.J.; one sister, Cecelia DeMaria of Lakewood, N.J.; and four grandchildren.
Graveside services were scheduled at 8 a.m. today in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., handled arrangements.
Esther G. Donnelly
Esther G. Donnelly, 84, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local health care center. She was born Jan. 18, 1920, in Berlin, Conn. A resident for 45 years, she was a retired secretary.
She is survived by two daughters, Kathryn Donnelly of Las Vegas and Patricia O'Brien of San Antonio; one sister, Mary Carling of Kensington, Conn.; one brother, John Grassi of Meriden, Conn.; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Mass will be celebrated 10:30 a.m. Saturday in St. Bridget Catholic Church, 220 N. 14 St. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., is handling arrangements.
James Farnham
James Farnham, 71, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born July 31, 1932, in Barre, Vt. A resident for 10 years, he was a retired machinist for a manufacturing company and a Korean War Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Doris; three stepsons, Donald Lagasse of Washington, D.C., Rodney Lagasse of Hebron, Conn., and Scott Lagasse of Charlestown, N.H.; one stepdaughter, Maryann Bateman of Claremont, N.H.; four brothers, Gilman Farnham of Las Vegas, Robert Farnham of Los Angeles and Denis Farnham and Travis Farnham, both of Vermont; one sister, Patricia Dwinell of New York; and numerous grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 4 p.m. until a 6:30 p.m. service Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd.
Bea Greenberg
Bea Greenberg, 85, of Las Vegas died June 30 in Las Vegas. She was born Dec. 5, 1918, in Kansas City, Mo. A resident for 24 years, she was a retail drug clerk from 1953 to 1978 and a Metro Police clerk from 1984 to 1991.
She is survived by two sons, Michael of San Diego and Ron of Jerusalem; one daughter, Cheryl of Pasadena, Calif.; six sisters, Marian Shapiro, Phyllis Reed and Marlene Rudler, all of Kansas City, Mo., Pat Raskin of Las Vegas and Shirley Shapiro and Natalie Crosner, both of Los Angeles; one brother, Ed Arensen of Kansas City; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
No local services are scheduled. A memorial service was held in Los Angeles.
The family suggests donations to the American Diabetes Association, 2785 E. Desert Inn Road, Las Vegas, NV 89121.
Donald H. McFarlin
Donald H. McFarlin, 61, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 9, 1942, in Los Angeles. A resident for nine years, he was a senior manager in labor relations and a Vietnam War Navy veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret Y.; one son, Adrian D. McFarlin of San Diego; two daughters, Dawn M. Moody of North Hills, Calif., and Michelle Y. Sutton of Las Vegas; three brothers, Mikki McFarlin of Los Angeles and Malcolm McFarlin and Ronald McFarlin, both of San Diego; and two grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 7 p.m. Saturday in the Summerlin Willows Community Center. Burial will be in San Diego. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.

Eugene Rose
Eugene Rose, 90, of Las Vegas died June 27 in Las Vegas. He was born April 11, 1914, in New York. A resident for one year, he was an Army veteran and was retired.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth; one daughter, Nancy Derasmo; two brothers, Leo and Louis; three sisters, Doris, Katie and Sara; and three grandchildren.

Michael H. Stetts Jr.
Michael H. Stetts Jr., 78, of Henderson died Sunday in Glendale, Ariz. He was born Feb. 10, 1926, in Youngstown, Ohio. A resident for 40 years, he was a retired teacher and a World War II Navy veteran.
He is survived by three sons, Michael Stetts of Las Vegas, Mark Stetts of Spring Lake, Mich., and Chuck Stetts of Henderson; two daughters, Susan Chaco of Glendale, Ariz., and Sally Hayek of Henderson; two brothers, John Stetts of Las Vegas and Paul Stetts of New York; one sister, Frances Stetts of Boston; and nine grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 3-7 p.m. Monday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in Palm Chapel, Eastern. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
Robert Fowler Walker
Robert Fowler Walker, 49, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 29, 1954, in South Carolina. A resident for five years, he was a telemarketing salesman.
He is survived by his father, Robert Wells Walker of Florence, Ala. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
Joyce Theresa Williamson
Joyce Theresa Williamson, 62, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born Oct. 8, 1941, in Brandenton, Fla. A resident for 38 years, she was a retired teacher and a member of the National Education Association.
She is survived by her husband, Richard Bickerton; two sons, Marc Williamson and Scott Williamson; four sisters, Lois Denton, Francis Benton, Elizabeth Goulding and Barbara Benton; and four grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 9 a.m. Saturday in Guardian Angel Cathedral, 302 E. Desert Inn Road. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.
Leon M. Young
Leon M. Young, 81, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born Sept. 15, 1922, in Idaho. A resident for 10 years, he was a retired Casper, Wyo., police officer, a World War II Army veteran, a member of the American Legion, Disabled American Veterans and Eagles.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Mary Louise Young; one adopted son, Richard Floyd Curton-Young; one sister, Joann Tholson; one half-brother, Kenneth R. Young; three grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
