In response to Lee Gliddon Jr.'s letter on June 29, in which he expressed criticism of Michael Moore's film, "Fahrenheit 9/11," while admitting he hadn't seen it:
I can only lament about how utterly sad it is, indeed, to have an opinion about that which someone knows nothing. I am amazed at how many folks I talk with who continue to be unable (most likely unwilling) to discern fact from opinion.
We all are familiar with the phrase "...the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth..." Finally, someone has the guts to present fact that may actually add to our knowledge of "the whole truth."
I, for one, would be more than happy to donate the price of a ticket for Mr. Gliddon to see "Fahrenheit 9/11." At least then his opinion would be worth listening to.
