Letter: Bush dishonest, allowed Iraqi prison torture

I will not vote for George W. Bush. I cannot, in good conscience, vote for a man who comes out and says that he knew nothing about the torture of Iraqi prisoners but, even before the prisoner scandal came out, he and many others decided that the Geneva Convention rules did not apply to the global war on terrorism.
I have always thought that we Americans wish to share our freedoms and liberties with others. This is one of the main reasons, or one of the reasons Bush gives, for why we were in Iraq. If Bush didn't know about the torture of Iraqi people, he sure did not promote being against torture by allowing portions of the Geneva Convention to go unheeded or waiving parts of anti-torture law.
It means that even if Bush didn't know anything about specific prisoner abuses, he allowed instances of torture to occur or to come about.
To me, this raises grave questions about the honesty of the man we call president of the Untied States.
