Letter: Only one ‘sin’ really allowed

Sin City is a misnomer for Las Vegas. Consider recent history: The mayor suggests talking about legalizing prostitution. A club is trying out the idea of allowing strip dancers to sit on the laps of customers. An Ohio businessman would like to open a drag-themed nightclub at Neonopolis downtown. Gays want the same legal rights granted to heterosexual couples.
Have any of those logically reasoned-out suggestions received the approval of voters or administrators in a city known to traditionally favor odd, out-of-mainstream ways of behaving? No.
Sin City indeed! Las Vegas has become Sinless City, or, at best, One-Sin City -- only gambling is allowed.
