James E. Carroll
James E. Carroll, 78, of North Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born March 3, 1925, in Casey Creek, Ky. A resident for 47 years, he was a retired chef and a World War II Army veteran.
He is survived by three sons, Keith Carroll of Las Vegas and Chad Carroll and Christopher Carroll, both of Birmingham, Ala.; one daughter, Stacey Purcell of Las Vegas; and 10 grandchildren.
A memorial service was scheduled at 3 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.
Manuel A. Cortez
Manuel A. Cortez, 23, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Twin Falls, Idaho. He was born July 12, 1980, in Nevada. A lifelong resident, he was a firefighter and a member of the Marty Barrett Junior Baseball League.
He is survived by his father, Bengyman Cortez; his mother and stepfather, Rosalind D. and Javier "Santo" Licea; one son, Christian Bogel; two brothers, Javier and Gabriel; and two sisters, Angelina and Patricia Alyssa.
Visitation is scheduled 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. services Monday in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North.
Eric Carl Davenport
Eric Carl Davenport, 57, of Henderson died Tuesday in Henderson. He was born Sept. 30, 1946, in San Pedro, Calif. A resident for eight years, he was a retired roulette wheel manufacturer.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara; one son, Gerald Davenport of Grass Valley, Calif., Andrea Legro of Highland, Calif., Carla Thode of Buena Park, Calif., and Victoria Cameron of Needles, Calif.; his mother, Edith Noyons of Henderson; one sister, Margaret Bubinski of Loveland, Colo.; one brother, Martin Davenport of Wilmington, Calif.; and 12 grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 3 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson.
The family suggests donations to Nevada Cancer Center, 1950 E. Desert Inn Road, Las Vegas, NV 89109.
James Draschil
James Draschil, 63, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born March 22, 1940, in Michigan. A resident for two years, he was in real estate.
He is survived by his aunt and uncle, John and Martha Draschil of Michigan.

George N. Elliker
George N. Elliker, 73, of North Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 20, 1930, in Enterprise, Utah. A resident for 64 years, he was a truck driver for a food distributor, a Korean War Navy veteran, a member of Teamsters Local 631 and Eagles Lodge 1213.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Anita Brunton.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Connie; four daughters, Kathy McGee, Cindy Conrad and Sherrie Widdison, all of Las Vegas, and Gloria Ramos of California; two sons, John Martinez and Easy Martinez, both of Las Vegas; one sister, Rhea Ashe of Las Vegas; 21 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 5-7 p.m. today in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Friday in Christ the King Catholic Church, 4925 S. Torrey Pines Drive. Burial will follow in Eden Vale Memorial Park.
Brian G. Hutchison
Brian G. Hutchison, 44, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born March 8, 1959, in Wisconsin. A resident for three years, he was a cook and a member of the Inner Circle Association.
He is survived by one son, Brian Jr.; his father, Carroll; his mother, Shirley; and five brothers, Jeff, Brad, Patrick, Rick and Tony.
Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling private arrangements.
Sol Kerner
Sol Kerner, 88, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospice. He was born Sept. 2, 1915, in New York City. A resident for 34 years, he was a retired bus driver and a member of the Knights of Pythias.
He is survived by one daughter, Marcia Rybaczenko, and one son, Alan Kerner, both of Henderson; one sister, Rose Vayda of Pembroke Pines, Fla.; one brother, Seymour Kerner of Brooklyn, N.Y.; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be noon Friday in King David Memorial Chapel and Cemetery, 2697 Eldorado Lane,

Marceline G. Mattern
Marceline G. Mattern, 79, of Henderson died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born April 2, 1924, in Minneapolis. A resident for 25 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, George R.; one daughter, Beverly Haney; and one son, Chester Mattern.

Ray Michalski
Ray Michalski, 77, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born Jan. 11, 1927, in Chicago. A resident for 15 years, he was a retired steel industry machinist, a World War II veteran and a member of Young Seniors Club.
He is survived by his wife, Therese; two sons, Dave Michalski of Dallas and Ray Michalski of Streamwood, Ill.; one sister, Lorraine Slade of Largo, Fla.; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Harry W. Nesbit, 75, of Boulder City died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born Nov. 5, 1928, in Muscatine, Iowa. A resident for 32 years, he was a retired federal government property manager.
He is survived by his wife, Doris; three daughters, Deborah Sjulstad of North Glenn, Colo., Valerie Worthington of Grand Junction, Colo., and Susan Bopp of Henderson; one son, David Nesbit of Boulder City; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Trinity L. Richardson, 11 days, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born Jan. 15, 2004, in Las Vegas.
She is survived by her parents, Trina and Maurice Richardson, and one sister, Maiya Richardson, all of Las Vegas.
Visitation is scheduled noon until a 1 p.m. service Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.
Norma S. Rust
Norma S. Rust, 79, of Laughlin died Tuesday in a local hospital. A retired telephone operator, she was born July 15, 1924, in Aurora, Ill.
She is survived by her husband, Lowell A.; four daughters, Phyllis Saville of Berryville, Va., Patty Lane of Sperryville, Va., Sharon Bridges of Los Osos, Calif., and Betty Gray of Minnesota; 11 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Clara Margaret Searing
Clara Margaret Searing, 77, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local health care center. She was born Feb. 12, 1926, in Huntington, W.Va. A lifelong resident, she was a Sparkletts water saleswoman.
She is survived by one daughter, Sandy Williams of Las Vegas; and one brother, John E. Gault of Sacramento.

Jean Talarico
Jean Talarico, 83, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local care center. She was born March 7, 1920, in Carmel, Calif. A resident for 17 years, she was a homemaker, a member of Catholic Daughters of America, a volunteer at St. Rose De Lima Hospital and an auxiliary member at Carmel Community Hospital.
She is survived by one daughter, Barbara J. Talarico of Las Vegas; one son, Richard Talarico of Lihue, Hawaii.

Angelo Urtado
Angelo Urtado, 67, of North Las Vegas died Friday in a local health care center. He was born May 13, 1936, in Las Vegas. A lifelong resident, he was a retired laborer and an Army veteran.
He is survived by one daughter, Sonja Wilkey, one sister, Eloisa Freeman, and one brother, Alvaro Hurtado, all of North Las Vegas; and two grandchildren.
Graveside services were scheduled at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Woodlawn Cemetery. Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., handled arrangements.
Jean Yandric
Jean Yandric, 77, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born April 21, 1926, in St. Louis. A resident for 13 years, she was a retired retail businesswoman.
She is survived by her husband, Steve; three daughters, Beverly E. Lane of Covina, Calif., and Rosa Frye and Cindy Krebs, both of Santa Clarita, Calif.; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Andrea Zimmerman
Andrea Zimmerman of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born in Paris. A resident for 40 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by two sisters, Christiane and Renee, and one brother, Claude, all of Paris.
Services were scheduled at 12:30 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.
