Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2004 | 11:04 a.m.

Orion Air Cargo, an air freight forwarding company based in suburban Minneapolis, has signed an agreement with an all-cargo airline that will enable it to deliver heavy freight overnight to Las Vegas.

Orion signed a deal with BAX Global Inc., an Irvine, Calif., subsidiary of The Brink's Co., the armored car company based in Richmond, Va. Terms of the deal between Orion and BAX were not disclosed.

A spokesman for Orion said the deal would enable the company to deliver freight of more than 50 pounds to customers in 100 cities. The company also signed agreements with air carriers American, United and Delta in addition to BAX.
