Travel companies honored in N.Y.

VEGAS.com, an Internet travel site, won three silver and two bronze awards for public relations, marketing and promotional excellence at the Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International 2003 Adrian Awards in New York Monday.
Also recognized was the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority, which won a gold award in public relations, a silver and a bronze in web marketing and a bronze in advertising.
Other Southern Nevada winners: the Four Seasons Las Vegas, with a gold in advertising, and MGM MIRAGE's The Mansion with a gold and a silver in public relations.
This year's contest attracted more than 1,500 entries from 50 countries.
The Greenspun family owns both VEGAS.com and the Las Vegas Sun.
