Letter: War on terrorism has been effective

Roger Christensen wrote in recently and said that "George W. Bush has not made us safer." I wonder if he would be so kind as to write in again and list all the terrorist attacks that have occurred on U.S. soil since Afghanistan and Iraq were pounded into submission. I might have missed something.

Let us not forget that for eight years prior to George Bush taking office, terrorist groups around the world had time to recruit, grow, plot and carry out their plans for holy war. Goodness knows they didn't get much in the way of opposition from America between the years 1992 and 2000. Oh, except for a destroyed aspirin factory ...
