Tulare M. Adams

Tulare M. Adams, 22, of Las Vegas died Jan. 15 in Las Vegas. A resident for four years, she was born March 5, 1981, in Indiana.

She is survived by her husband, Arthur Hoomalu Jr. of Las Vegas; her parents, Sandra and Michael Adams, one brother, Michael Adams Jr., and one sister, Stephanie Adams, all of Indiana.

Services will be 5 p.m. today in the LDS chapel at 2295 Walnut Ave. American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane, is handling arrangements.

William Baker

William Baker, 80, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born Dec. 24, 1923, in Prescott, Ariz. A resident for 47 years, he retired as a Safeway grocery store manager after 50 years and was a World War II Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Chestena; two sons, William Gary Baker and Michael G. Baker, one daughter, Debra Baker Diaz, and one stepson, Richard K. Fisher Jr., all of Las Vegas; one brother, Bob Baker of Killer, Texas; two sisters, June Kendig of Las Vegas and Joyce Carter of Anaheim, Calif.; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 10 a.m.-noon Tuesday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Graveside services will follow at 1:20 p.m. Tuesday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

The family suggests donations to the American Diabetes Association, 2785 E. Desert Inn Road, Las Vegas, NV 89121, or the Salvation Army, P.O. Box 28369, Las Vegas, NV 89126.

Beverly Brimer

Beverly Brimer, 68, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born Aug. 17, 1935, in Wayne County, Mich. A resident for nine years, she was a retired controller in the printing industry.

He is survived by one daughter, Robbie Gomez, and two sisters, Patricia Gray and Mary Sue Olinger, all of Las Vegas; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St.

Sue Ciran

Sue Ciran, 74, of Las Vegas died Nov. 26 in Las Vegas. A homemaker, she was born Aug. 10, 1929.

She is survived by one son, Eugene Corey of New York; and one sister, Joan of Connecticut.

Services will be 4 p.m. Saturday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North.

Alexander Crossman

Alexander Crossman, 83, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 4, 1920, in Glasgow, Scotland. A resident for 27 years, he was a retired automotive salesman.

He is survived by one sister, Jean F. Barker, and one nephew, John Barker, both of East Venice, Fla.

Carl Richard Fedak

Carl Richard Fedak, 66, of Las Vegas died Jan. 11 in Las Vegas. He was born March 7, 1937, in Erie, Pa. A resident for 20 years, he was a retired Army veteran.

Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. Tuesday in Garden Memorial Funeral Home, 3600 W. Vegas Drive. Burial will follow in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Leonardo Garcia

Leonardo Garcia, 74, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born March 10, 1929, in Texas. A resident for 25 years, he was a registered nurse.

He is survived by one daughter, Lara Perkins of Las Vegas; one brother, Robert, and three sisters, Irma, Sylvia and Carmen, all of Texas; and two grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 3-4:30 p.m. Sunday in Garden Memorial Funeral Home, 3600 W. Vegas Drive. Burial will follow in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Ruby Greathouse

Ruby Greathouse, 85, of North Las Vegas died Monday in a local care center. She was born July 19, 1918, in Hope, Ark. A resident for 20 years, she was a retired hotel housekeeper.

She is survived by four children, Charles Greathouse of Phoenix, Mary Louise Williams and Mildred Greathouse, both of North Las Vegas, and Verna Mae Greathouse of Las Vegas; two sisters, Ella Sanders of Phoenix and Diane Preston of Murfreesboro, Ark.; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 1-5 p.m. Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be 10 a.m. Monday in Palm Chapel, Main. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park.

Elizabeth M. Holden

Elizabeth M. Holden, 91, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local care center. She was born Jan. 13, 1912, in Chicago. A resident for 21 years, she was a homemaker, a former member of the Moose and the Eastern Star.

She is survived by one son, Jerome Parz of New York City; one daughter, Hedy Siewierski of Las Vegas; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Lawrence A. Jenkins

Lawrence A. Jenkins, 43, of North Las Vegas died Monday. He was born Sept. 21, 1960, in Daytona Beach, Fla.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda; two daughters, Audja and Ronnique; one son, Lawrence II; his father, William A. Jenkins of St. Petersburg, Fla.; two sisters, Zelender Dye of Las Vegas and Sharon of Atlanta; and three brothers, Lewellyn and Gregory, both of Las Vegas, and Michael Dye of Daytona Beach.

Services were scheduled at 11 a.m. today, followed by a noon-6 p.m. visitation at Harrison-Ross Mortuaries, 2071 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Burial will be private.

Betty Johnson

Betty Johnson, 73, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born Nov. 13, 1930, in Tulsa, Okla. A resident for 34 years, she was a retired hospital nurse.

She is survived by three daughters, Janice Lacey and Judy Holmes, both of Las Vegas, and Vernice Prugh of New Mexico; and two sons, Michael Johnson of Las Vegas and Terry Johnson of Nevada.

Services will be 10 a.m. Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Malcolm Edward Johnson

Malcolm Edward Johnson, 65, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born March 4, 1938, in Philadelphia. A resident for seven years, he was a police officer, worked for Sierra Security and was an Air Force veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara; four daughters, Penny, Lynn and Kim, all of Camden, N.J., and Valencia of Forestville, Md.; one son, Carl of Washington, D.C.; four brothers, Milton Johnson of Roanoke Rapids, Va., Reggie Johnson of Lancaster, Pa., Butch Johnson of Philadelphia and Donnie Johnson of Chester, Pa.; one sister, Beverly Staples of Charlotte, N.C.; and 12 grandchildren.

Burial will be in Philadelphia. Nevada Funeral Service-Nevada Cremation or Burial Society, 2983 Fremont St., is handling arrangements.

James Allen Jones

James Allen Jones, 44, of Las Vegas died Jan. 16 in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 24, 1959, in Illinois. A resident for 17 years, he was a manager in the food industry.

He is survived by his companion, Janice Gaia; one brother, Marcus A. Pappas; two sisters, Antonia Lopez and Adrian Lyells.

BeBe Ida Judge

BeBe Ida Judge, 86, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. A homemaker, she was born Nov. 27, 1917, in New York.

She is survived by one daughter, JoAnna Loria; two brothers, Maurice Brower and Stanley Brower; and two grandchildren.

Ena Moelter

Ena Moelter, 70, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local health care center. She was born Dec. 31, 1933, in New York. A resident for 30 years, she was a retired teacher and travel agent, an Adelphi University graduate, a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma and the Stallion Mountain Country Club.

Graveside services will be 10:40 a.m. Monday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

LaMar C. Nielson

LaMar C. Nielson, 96, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born July 28, 1907, in Richfield, Utah. A resident for 30 years, he was a retired maintenance manager.

He is survived by four daughters, Peggie Wadley, Patsy Wright and Januce Johnson, all of Moapa, and Marla Howe of Carmichael, Calif.; one brother; two sisters; 16 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 30 minutes prior to a 9:30 a.m. service Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Davis Paradise Memorial Gardens, 6200 S. Eastern Ave.

Helen Hammond Sadd

Helen Hammond Sadd, 91, of Boulder City died Wednesday in Boulder City. She was born Aug. 12, 1912, in McAlester, Okla. A resident for 50 years, she was a homemaker, an actress, director, model and radio commentator and one of the founders of the Community Club of Boulder City.

She is survived by one daughter, Denise Nicholl of Henderson; one son, Brian McDaniel of Sheridan, Wyo.; and two grandchildren.

Darrin Keith Scwanke

Darrin Keith Scwanke, 35, of North Las Vegas died Jan. 15 in a local hospital. He was born Sept. 19, 1968, in Germany. A resident for 25 years, he was a truck driver.

He is survived by one brother, Michael Scheanke; and two sisters, Dawna Dettmer and Jennie Crable.

Visitation is scheduled 5-7 p.m. Tuesday in Garden Memorial Funeral Home, 3600 W. Vegas Drive. A private burial will follow. Burial will be private.

Willis Toenniges

Willis Toenniges, 85, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 25, 1918, in Aberdeen, S.D. A resident for nine days, he was a retired heavy equipment mechanic.

He is survived by one son, Glenn Willis Toenniges of Medford, Ore.; three daughters, Treva Toenniges of Federal Way, Wash., Vicki Van Calcar of Port Angeles, Wash., and Wilma Grover of Wasilia, Alaska; 11 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Patricia Ann Vitalis

Patricia Ann Vitalis, 70, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born March 4, 1933, in Tulsa, Okla. A resident for 10 years, she was a retired computer operator in the grocery industry.

She is survived by three sons, Bruce Bennallack of Riverside, Calif., Barry Bennallack of Las Vegas and Ron Nadvornick of Long Beach, Calif.; one daughter, Doreen Coddington of Las Vegas; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 5-7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Palm Chapel, Cheyenne.

Jay J. Volney

Jay J. Volney, 48, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born April 24, 1955, in San Antonio. A resident for 25 years, he was a musician and radio announcer from 1988 to 2001 on KNPR.

He is survived by one sister, Velna Asterman; and one brother, Thomas Littleton.

Jeanne M. Westfall

Jeanne M. Westfall, 82, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. She was born Feb. 23, 1921, in Michigan. A resident for 18 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Harold E.; one son, Jonathan E. Westfall; two sisters, Helen and Doris; and three grandchildren.

Adrian Winegarden

Adrian Winegarden, 90, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. He was born July 22, 1913, in Easton, Pa. A resident for 10 years, he was a retired accountant, a World War II Army veteran and a volunteer at Desert Springs Hospital.

He is survived by his wife, Doris; and three sons, Jeffrey Winegarden of Atlanta and Randy Winegarden and Terry Winegarden, both of Las Vegas.

Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Sunday in King David Memorial Chapel and Cemetery, 2697 Eldorado Lane.
