Letter: Smoking is a right to protect
Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2004 | 9:05 a.m.
Sandra Hanson's anti-smoking diatribe (Letters to the Editor, Jan. 18) is frightening. Smoking an act of terrorism?
Are we to become California, where our bars and casinos will ban smoking, close at 2 a.m. and where all guns are outlawed? The long tradition of libertarian Nevada may come to an end because of authoritarian people selling their overpriced homes in Los Angeles, moving here, and trying to create a People's Republic in Las Vegas.
Is it time to start patrolling the border for these petty tyrants? Can we deport them back to Brentwood? And who is a terrorist but someone who will say anything or go to any lengths to get their way? Go to California, Ms. Hanson.
