Kids will walk for diabetes

Kindergarten through fourth graders at Warren-Walker Elementary School in Henderson are collecting donations for their Walk for Diabetes on Friday.
The students and their parents are raising money to support the American Diabetes Association to find a cure for diabetes and support diabetic patients.
"The children are learning about diabetes in the classroom and also in P.E.," said administrator Susan Bennett, who organized the walk with physical education teacher Louise Kemps. "So hopefully this will support better lifestyles."
The walk itself is private and will take place during each grade's physical education class. Donations for the walk can be sent to Warren-Walker, 2150 Windmill Parkway in Henderson.
