Palms to host marrow-blood drive

The Palms hotel will host a bone marrow/blood drive for 8-year-old Chrissy Nelson, a local cancer victim, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday in the Key West Room.

Chrissy has been recovering from pancreatitis as well as a staph-infection due to a compromised immune system. The family has not been able to locate a bone marrow match that Chrissy needs in order to live.

To offset the expenses incurred by having to purchase the bone marrow kits, a silent auction will be held. Eligible donors must be at least 17 years of age and 110 pounds.

For information call Keri Trinty at 942-6938.

Dr. Olivia Purdie and Dr. Ford Franklin

will lead a headache workshop at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the Multi-Generational Center, 250 S. Green Valley Parkway, Henderson. Admission is $15 and includes a private consultation with the doctors. Call 267-5800.
