Robert T. Anderson

Robert T. Anderson, 66, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born April 18, 1937, in Yonkers, N.Y. A resident for 20 years, he was a retired NASA mechanic and a Navy veteran.

No local services are scheduled. A memorial service will be in New Jersey. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Maria Antonia Benefield

Maria Antonia Benefield, 55, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. She was born May 8, 1948, in Guatemala. A resident for 19 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her mother, Alicia Munoz of Las Vegas.

Visitation is scheduled 10 a.m. until a 2 p.m. service Wednesday in Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd.

Donald Pat Brogan

Donald Pat Brogan, 80, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. A rancher, he was born May 30, 1923, in Idaho.

He is survived by his wife, Marie.

Donald V. Cody

Donald V. Cody, 77, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local convalescent hospital. He was born Jan. 10, 1927, in Queens, N.Y. A resident for one month, he was a retired power lineman and a World War II Navy veteran.

He is survived by one son, Thomas Cody of Las Vegas; three daughters, Elaine Edenburn and Donna Stanton, both of Las Vegas, and Laurie Lewis of Woolwich, Maine; four brothers, Phil Cody of Somers, N.Y., Kevin Cody of Doylestown, Pa., Larry Cody of Hudson, Mass., and Leo Cody of Tampa, Fla.; and five grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to a 4 p.m. service Thursday in Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd.

Clifford W. James

Clifford W. James, 81, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 21, 1922, in Honolulu. A resident for 20 years, he was an aircraft maintenance foreman, an Army veteran and a member of the Elks.

He is survived by one stepdaughter, Lani Leach of Honolulu; one stepson, Stanley Griep of Kaunakakai, Hawaii; one sister, Ellen Todd of California; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Robert E. Kemper

Robert E. Kemper, 77, of Nevada died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born July 30, 1926, in Nevada. A lifelong resident, he was a retail salesman, an Army veteran and a member of the Masons.

He is survived by his wife, Carole; one son, Tom; two daughters, Ann and Cindy; and three grandchildren.

Anthony Mercurio

Anthony Mercurio, 70, of Prescott, Ariz., died Jan. 6 in Prescott. A former Las Vegas resident, he was a casino manager at Lake Tahoe, Las Vegas, Elgin, Ill., and Laughlin.

He is survived by his wife of 14 years, Patricia; one daughter, Christine of Prescott; one son, Leonard of San Jose, Calif.; and three grandchildren.

Sienna Marie Neal

Sienna Marie Neal, 77, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. She was born Oct. 13, 1926, in Gary, Ind. A resident for 49 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Ben; two sons, Jim Neal and Pat Neal, and one daughter, Sienna M. Rodgers, all of Las Vegas; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 11:30 a.m. Wednesday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Burial will be private.

Barbara Olivas

Barbara Olivas, 62, of Henderson died Friday in a local hospital. She was born Oct. 24, 1941, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for 1 1/2 years, she was a homemaker and a member of the Sun City Anthem Performing Arts Group.

She is survived by her husband, Conrado F. Olivas Jr.; one son, Kevin Olivas of Silver Spring, Md.; one stepdaughter, Deborah Olivas of Los Angeles; two stepsons, Conrado F. Olivas III of Burbank, Calif., and Anthony Olivas of Los Angeles; one sister, Carolyn Klaymine of Citrus Heights, Calif.; and six grandchildren.

Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday in King David Memorial Chapel and Cemetery, 2697 Eldorado Lane.

Max Phillips

Max Phillips, 87, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born March 7, 1916, in London. A resident for 45 years, he was a retired musician, a World War II veteran of the Royal Air Force and a member of Musicians locals 369 and 47.

He is survived by his wife, Lily; and one daughter, Pamela Phillips-Oland of Los Angeles.

Services will be noon Tuesday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Graveside services will follow at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Woodlawn Cemetery. King David Memorial Chapel and Cemetery, 2697 Eldorado Lane, is handling arrangements.

Patsy R. Rose

Patsy R. Rose, 76, of Henderson died Thursday in a local care center. She was born Aug. 1, 1927, in Glendale, Calif. A resident for six months, she was a retired municipal court administrator and a member of the Lions Club.

She is survived by her husband, Harvey L.; three sons, Michael K. Rose of Escondido, Calif., Donald D. Rose of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Thomas C. Rose of Huntsville, Ala.; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. Tuesday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Palm Chapel, Henderson. Graveside services will follow at noon Wednesday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Hiroshi Sato

Hiroshi Sato, 77, of Las Vegas died Saturday in St. Peters, Mo. A factory worker, he was born Dec. 2, 1926, in Stockton, Calif.

He is survived by one niece, Peggy Sato of St. Peters.

Yvonne Simpson

Yvonne Simpson, 74, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born Oct. 6, 1929, in Egypt. A resident for six years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, John A.; one son, Stephen A. Simpson of San Marcos, Calif.; one brother, Michel G. Araman of Buena Park, Calif.; and one grandchild.

Services were scheduled at 2 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.

Doris A. Snyder

Doris A. Snyder, 62, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. She was born July 17, 1941, in Evansville, Ind. A resident for six years, she was an entrepreneur in ice skating, a member of the Figure Skating Association and a volunteer for the National Skaters Fund.

She is survived by her husband, Jimmy L. Sr.; one son, Jimmy L. Snyder Jr. of Columbus, Ohio; two daughters, Ayse Snyder of Las Vegas and Tanya Ucher of Columbus; and one granddaughter.

Clarence Stewart

Clarence Stewart, 85, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local care center. He was born Feb. 18, 1918, in St. Louis. A resident for more than 50 years, he was a retired hotel executive.

He is survived by one niece, Judy Wagner, and one cousin, Alice Gerard, both of Missouri.

Jean May Tallent

Jean May Tallent, 76, of Las Vegas died Dec. 31 in a local hospital. She was born May 2, 1927, in Everett, Mass. A resident for three years, she was a retired electrical engineer.

She is survived by two daughters, Kathleen F. Muise of Las Vegas and Jean May Barton of Everett; and five grandchildren.

Charles Thompson

Charles Thompson, 57, of Las Vegas died Dec. 21 in Las Vegas. He was born April 5, 1946, in Las Vegas. A lifelong resident, he was a newspaper pressman.

He is survived by one son, Tony; one daughter, Terolyn; and three brothers, Homer, Gene and Bill.

Richard J. Wells

Richard J. Wells, 59, of North Las Vegas died Friday in North Las Vegas. He was born March 23, 1944, in Marion, N.C. A resident for 27 years, he was a retired general engineer and a Vietnam War Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; two daughters, Kristie and Julie; one son, Greg; his mother, Edith; two brothers, Jack and Roger; and six grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to a 4 p.m. service Tuesday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St.
