Eva Rita Alvarado, 44, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born Sept. 10, 1959, in El Paso, Texas. A resident for six months, she was a line technician for a computer company.

She is survived by one sister, Grisel Alvarado, and one brother, Pedro Lomell, both of Las Vegas.

Visitation is scheduled 2-4 p.m. Friday in Nevada Funeral Service-Nevada Cremation or Burial Society, 2983 Fremont St.

Angeline E. Valdes Arellano

Angeline E. Valdes Arellano, 56, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a hospital. She was born Jan. 26, 1947, in the Philippines. A resident for 15 years, she was a medical office receptionist.

She is survived by her husband, Manuel; five sons, Lionell, Manuel II, Christopher and Michael, all of Las Vegas and Armando of Long Beach, Calif.; her stepmother, Lucia of Manila, Philippines; three sisters, Marlene of Alberta, Canada, Marivic of Manila and Lucylic of Lakewood, Canada; and 10 grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday in Palm Chapel, Main. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park.

Becksvort

Beverly Ann Becksvort, 62, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born July 28, 1941, in New York. A resident for four months, she was an office manager at Manpower.

She is survived by her husband, Scott Charles Edwards; one son, Michael Scott Becksvort; one daughter, Melissa Heidi Becksvort; and one grandchild.

Warren John Bowes

Warren John Bowes, 72, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 23, 1931, in Indiana. A resident for 30 years, he was a service manager for a dealership.

He is survived by his wife, Lynn; three sons, Scott Bowes, Michael Liebert and Douglas Liebert; three daughters, Cathleen Culton, Ellen Liebert and Tracy Burke; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Louise Farris

Louise Farris, 81, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. She was born Nov. 18, 1922, in Buffalo, N.Y. A resident for 26 years, she was a retired owner-operator of a retail sales company.

She is survived by two daughters, Jacqulin O'Neil and Fay Farris, both of Las Vegas; three sons, Michael Farris and James Farris, both of Cleveland and David Farris of Henderson; two sisters, Ann Peters and Alvera Shiekh, and one brother, Thomas Anthony, all of Cleveland; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 11 a.m. until a 2 p.m. service Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

Victoria E. Gajewski

Victoria E. Gajewski, 86, of Henderson died Monday in a local health care center. She was born Oct. 23, 1917, in Chicago. A resident for 10 years, she was a factory worker and a member of the Liberace Club of Las Vegas.

She is survived by one daughter, Julia S. White of Las Vegas.

Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. Friday and 10-11 a.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Graveside services will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Giammarino

Dominick Giammarino, 72, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. A supervisor for the housing authority, he was born April 27, 1931, in New York.

He is survived by his wife, Rose.

No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in New York. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

M. Hamel

Antoinette M. Hamel, 81, of Henderson died Wednesday in a local hospital. She was born April 16, 1922, in Mount Vernon, N.Y. A resident for eight years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Raymond E.; three sons, Carmine M. Ferrara of Henderson, Anthony Ferrara of Fairfax, Vt., and Raymond A. Hamel of Las Vegas; 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Friday in St. Peter the Apostle Church, 204 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson.

Margaret L. Hanson

Margaret L. Hanson, 88, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospice. A retired homemaker, she was born Aug. 7, 1915, in Hoquiam, Wash.

She is survived by one son, Warren Hill of Las Vegas; one son-in-law, John Wilkinson of Washington state; seven grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Edward L. Kester, 68, of Henderson died Monday in Henderson. He was born Aug. 29, 1935, in Fairwell, Mo. A resident for 39 years, he was a retired foreman from a chemical plant and a Marine Corps veteran.

He is survived by three daughters, Cindy Shelton of Brisbane, Australia and Debbie Beyer and Sharon Hyder, both of Henderson.

Visitation is scheduled 3-7 p.m. today in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 1 p.m. Friday in Bunkers Chapel. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens Mausoleum, 7251 W. Lone Mountain Road.

Kolanowski

Marsha K. Kolanowski, 55, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. She was born March 15, 1948, in Indiana. A resident for 13 years, she was a hotel revenue auditor and a member of the American Legion auxiliary.

She is survived by her mother, Betty L. Kolanowski; and one sister, Gail Kibiger.

James S. Lawrence, 65, of Las Vegas died Dec. 29 in a local hospital. He born Feb. 14, 1938 in Nebraska. A resident for 29 years, he owned and operated a barbershop.

He is survived by two daughters, Marcie Ziegler and Paula Moore, and one brother, Howard Demille, all of Las Vegas; and five grandchildren.

Visitation was scheduled 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Graveside services will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Bobbe Moore

Bobbe Moore, 72, of Las Vegas died Jan. 7 in Fort Worth, Texas. She was born Feb. 21, 1931, in Anton, Texas. A resident for 34 years, she was a retired buyer of supplies and books for the Clark County School District.

She is survived by two daughters, Carletta Frazer of Justin, Texas, and Gena Izzard of Las Vegas; two brothers, Troy Bennett of Pampa, Texas, and Jimmy Bennett of Denver; one sister, Nadean Morse of Las Vegas; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 5-7 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Additional visitation is scheduled one hour prior to an 11 a.m. service Saturday in the Vegas Manor LDS Ward. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Thomas V. Piacente

Thomas V. Piacente, 73, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 18, 1930, in Hornell, N.Y. A resident for 16 years, he was a retired salesman in the automotive industry.

He is survived by his wife, Joanne; one daughter, Sherry Calderwood, and three sons, Joseph Piacente, William Piacente and Jeffrey Piacente, all of Las Vegas; and seven grandchildren.

Lee Shubin

Lee Shubin, 90, of Las Vegas died Jan. 6 in a local hospital. She was born March 27, 1913, in Poland. A resident for 13 years, she was a retired clerk for a retail bakery.

She is survived by one son, Harold Shubin of Las Vegas; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Visitation is private. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Friday in King David Memorial Chapel and Cemetery, 2697 Eldorado Lane.

Rose Marie Sot

Rose Marie Sot, 56, of North Las Vegas died Saturday in North Las Vegas. She was born Sept. 6, 1947, in Pennsylvania. A resident for nine years, she was a licensed practical nurse.

She is survived by one daughter, Kemmy McCoy; and four grandchildren.

Frank Alfred Tilp

Frank Alfred Tilp, 75, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local care center. He was born Nov. 25, 1928, in Pennsylvania. A resident for 35 years, he was a valet parker, an Army veteran and a retired member of the Teamsters Union.

He is survived by his companion, Dottie Moeller.

Miguel Angel Vizcarra

Miguel Angel Vizcarra, 44, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 27, 1959, in El Paso, Texas. A resident for 27 years, he was an auto body repairman for a collision repair center.

He is survived by his wife, Rosalba; and three sons, Maximino Vizcarra, Mario Vizcarra and Matthew Vizcarra.

Visitation is scheduled 10 a.m.-7 p.m. today with a 6 p.m. service in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Church services will be 2 p.m. Friday in St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church, 1111 Michael Way. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park, Northwest, 6701 N. Jones Blvd.

C.B. 'Jack' White

C.B. "Jack" White, 73, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born July 19, 1930, in Culver City, Calif. A resident for 27 years, he was a retired motel owner-operator, an Army veteran, a member of the Elks Lodge in Cedar City, Utah and the Southern Utah Motel Owners Association.

He is survived by his wife, Marilyn; two daughters, Paula Story of Salina, Utah, and Amber Schuster of Las Vegas; one son, Sage White of Cedar City; one brother, James White of Big Bear, Calif.; and 10 grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled two hours prior to 1 p.m. service Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Elia Williams Jr.

Elia Williams Jr., 71, of Las Vegas died Dec. 20 in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 6, 1932, in Mississippi. A resident for 30 years, he was a retired washer for a linen company and an Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Ruby; four sons, Charles, William, Anthony and Harry; one daughter, Linda; one brother, Charles; one sister, Jean Barnett; and numerous grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 9-10 a.m. Friday in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Graveside services will follow at 10:40 a.m. Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.
