Eva B. Barlow

Eva B. Barlow, 84, of Henderson died Sunday in a local care center. She was born Oct. 14, 1919, in Crockett, Texas. A resident for 54 years, she was a retired bartender, active in the Democratic Party, and a volunteer for the Salvation Army.

She is survived by one daughter, Elizabeth Ruggles of Houston; two sons, Tom Barlow and Asa Barlow, both of Henderson; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson.

Theodore Carvalho

Theodore Carvalho, 64, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Nov. 9, 1939, in Honolulu. A resident for 13 years, he was a retired packing inspector.

He is survived by his wife, Sandi; three daughters, Jodi, Kimberly and Kristine; three sons, Ted, Troy and Mark; his mother, Olivia; one brother, John; one sister, Betty; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be at 8:45 a.m. Friday in Our Lady of Las Vegas Catholic Church, 3050 Alta Drive. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.

Mary Wilina Childs

Mary Wilina Childs, 92, of Las Vegas died Friday in North Las Vegas. Born Dec. 17, 1911, in Ferron, Utah, she was an office manager.

She is survived by two daughters, Janet Cassidy of Yerington and Mary Avance of North Las Vegas; one son, William Robert Childs of Las Vegas; 16 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

No local services are scheduled. Burial will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in Manti City Cemetery. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Carol J. Fachini

Carol J. Fachini, 72, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local care center. She was born March 10, 1931, in Idaho. A resident for 30 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Eugene C.; and three daughters, Gail Mlachnik, Carla and Kim Fachini.

Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Friday in St. Christopher's Catholic Church, 1840 N. Bruce St. Burial will be in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City, at a later date. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Carson Frazzini

Carson Frazzini, 61, of Las Vegas died Jan. 3 in Las Vegas. He was born April 29, 1942, in Reno. A lifetime resident, he was a hotel manager.

He is survived by one son, Carson Frazzini of Nebraska; and one daughter, Cathy Olquin of Reno.

Services were scheduled Monday at the LDS East Stake chapel. American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane, handled arrangements.

Patrick J. McInerney

Patrick J. McInerney, 65, of Indian Springs died Tuesday. He was born Aug. 19, 1938, in Lansing, Mich. A resident for 23 years, he was a retired Navy chief petty officer and Vietnam War veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Regina; one daughter, Ambyr McInerney of Moab, Utah; one son, Douglas McInerney of Las Vegas; two brothers, Michael McInerney of Lansing, Mich., and Douglas McInerney of Jackson, Mich.; one sister, Linda McInerney of Lansing; and three stepbrothers, Troy Scruggs of Florida, Bob Scruggs and Gary Scruggs.

Visitation is scheduled from 9 a.m. to noon Friday in Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., followed by graveside services in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Dr. Sherman A. Karpen

Dr. Sherman A. Karpen, 76, of Henderson died Friday in a local hospice. He was born Oct. 27, 1927, in Pennsylvania. A resident for several years, he was a physician and an Army veteran.

He is survived by his companion, Joan Leray Berry; two sons, Andrew and Lawrence Karpen; his mother, Rae Karpen; and three grandchildren.

Alexander S. Klein

Alexander S. Klein, 84, of Henderson died Saturday in a local hospice. He was born Nov. 7, 1919, in Puspokladyn, Hungary. A resident for four years, he was a retired camera technician and World War II Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Edith; one son, Bob Klein of Henderson; one daughter, Debbie McGregor of Pasadena, Calif.; and three grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to 2 p.m. services Thursday in King David Memorial Chapel, 2697 Eldorado Lane, followed by burial in King David Cemetery.

Philip Liuzzo

Philip Liuzzo, 84, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Feb. 22, 1919, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for 46 years, he was a retired security director and World War II Army veteran.

He is survived by two sons, Frank Luizzo of Las Vegas and Anthony Luizzo of New York; and four grandchildren.

Services are private. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

Howard 'Bosh' Miller

Howard "Bosh" Miller, 89, died Friday in Las Vegas. Born Nov. 22, 1914, in Annville, Pa., he was a bartender for the American Legion and an Army veteran.

Graveside services will be at 9:20 a.m. Thursday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Ernesto M. Padrelanan

Ernesto M. Padrelanan, 68, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born Feb. 19, 1935, in the Philippines. A resident for nine years, he was a mechanical engineer.

He is survived by his wife, Norma N.; four sons, Edward Padrelanan, Dale Padrelanan, Neil Padrelanan and James Padrelanan, all of the Philippines; three daughters, Marla Padrelanan and Sharon San Gaspar, both of the Philippines, and Charlotte Beltran of Las Vegas; five sisters, Grace Trocio and Elsie De Jesus, both of the Philippines, Belen Haley of Las Vegas, Angelita Ghent and Aida Montajes, both of California; and four grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd.

Virginia M. Pizzi

Virginia M. Pizzi, 81, of North Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local care center. She was born Jan. 31, 1922, in New York City. A resident for three years, she was a retired saleswoman.

She is survived by her husband, James A.; two sons, James N. Pizzi of North Las Vegas and Robert G. Pizzi of Los Olivos, Calif.; three sisters, Lillian Moglia of New York City, Mildred Osuna of Phoenix and Florence Guida of New York; and two grandchildren.

Fred F. Riedinger

Fred F. Riedinger, 58, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born March 5, 1945, in Poughkeepsie, N.Y. A resident for 12 years, he was an electrician and a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers 363.

He is survived by his wife, Frances A.; one son, Frederick F. Riedinger IV of Wappinggers Falls, N.Y.; three daughters, Deborah Riedinger of Wappingers Falls and Tami Kitchener and Krystal Mullane, both of Las Vegas; two stepsons, Glenn Mullane of Las Vegas and Tom Mullane of Hopewell Junction, N.Y.; one stepdaughter, Candice Egan of Tacoma, Wash.; one brother, Jeff Riedinger of Las Vegas; two sisters, Gladys Mackey of Pleasant Valley, N.Y., and Sally Marcello of Bradenton, Fla.; and nine grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd.

Ida I. Runyon

Ida I. Runyon, 90, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local care center. She was born April 23, 1913, in Pennsylvania. A resident for 10 years, she was a schoolteacher.

She is survived by one stepbrother, Bill Halgin.

Shari Simmons

Shari Simmons, 52, of Las Vegas died Dec. 31 in Las Vegas. She was born June 20, 1951.

She is survived by her husband, Grant.

Services will be from noon to 6 p.m. Sunday in Hites Funeral Home, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson.

C. Kae Timpson

C. Kae Timpson, 60, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born Sept. 3, 1943, in Pocatello, Idaho. A resident for 21 years, she was a cashier, Army veteran and a member of the Culinary Union.

She is survived by one daughter, Nina Kae Johnson of Idaho Falls, Idaho; one son, Phillip Ralph Skinner of Stroudsburg, Pa.; her mother, Mildred Rose Rupp, and one brother, Ralph Dave Rupp, both of American Fork, Utah; and one sister, Sharon Rose Bowers of Pleasant Grove, Utah; and four grandchildren.

Visitation was scheduled until 2 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.
