Letter: Tourists won’t be interested in zoo
Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2004 | 9:03 a.m.
If the Las Vegas City Council and the mayor believe tourists will want to venture out to see this "world class zoo" being pitched to them, you can bet in the end the joke will be on us.
I am familiar with the hotel business and can tell you the last thing tourists would be interested in is this nonsense. Remember, if it sounds too good to be true, it is too good to be true.
Let's stick to what we do best -- entertaining tourists in the casinos. The people who are pitching the zoo can take their "dream" somewhere else.
