Church's luau will benefit Child Haven

Community Lutheran Church, 3720 E. Tropicana Ave., plans a fund-raising luau at 3:30 p.m. Saturday at the church to benefit Child Haven.

Admission is one item to be donated to Child Haven, an organization that houses children who have been removed from their homes due to neglect, abuse, or abandonment.

St. James the Apostle Catholic Church,

1920 Martin Luther King Blvd., invites the public to attend a farewell Mass in honor of Rev. Michael Blackburn, OFM, and the Franciscans at 11 a.m. Sunday at the church. For more information, call 648-6606.
