Bids to be taken on demonstration home

Opportunity Village has received its first bid to purchase on the NextGen 2004 Demonstration Home, which is currently on display at the Consumer Electronics Show at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

Bids will be taken through noon Tuesday.

Members of the Opportunity Village management team saw the home for the first time Wednesday and were "awestruck" by the technology that the home employs.

The team was particularly impressed with the home's $200,000 theater.

The Opportunity Village Executive Committee will convene Tuesday at 4 p.m. to discuss the final disposition of the home.

Anyone interested can visit the home during the CES Show thtough Monday.
