UCLA vocal group is scheduled
The University of California, Los Angeles African Arts Ensemble's Envision Vocals will be performing from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday in Summerlin Library's Performing Arts Center, 1771 Inner Circle Drive.
Envision is an ethnically and culturally diverse vocal ensemble whose repertoire includes a variety of a capella and gospel music. The group combines rich voices, melodious flair and a creative style which is both historically informative and spiritually uplifting. Admission is $5. Call 699-8900.
Rancho Drive project to start
The project to construct a reinforced concrete box storm drain on Rancho Drive between Mesquite Avenue to Washington Avenue begins Friday, reducing Rancho Drive at U.S. 95 to one lane in each direction for 20 days.
During this period, the U.S. 95 northbound off-ramp will be also be closed.
The Nevada Transportation Department is advising motorists to detour at Valley View Boulevard or seek an alternative to avoid congestion.
Beginning Friday, no left-turn access to U.S. 95 on-ramps will be permitted on Rancho. Right-turn-only access will be permitted north or southbound.
The southbound off-ramp will be open with access to Rancho Drive southbound only.
