Roderick Adam

Roderick Adam, 62, of Las Vegas died Feb. 13 in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 5, 1942, in California. A resident for 36 years, he was a musician and a Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Jimmie Lou Adam; two sons, Eric and Larry; one daughter, Jennifer "Zenna"; his mother, Pamela Beaudreaux; one sister, Jeri; and one grandchild.

Visitation is scheduled 1-3 p.m. Saturday in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North.

Dorothy Jane Bowers

Dorothy Jane Bowers, 80, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a Reno hospital. She was born April 14, 1923, in Walla Walla, Wash. A resident for eight years, she was a saleswoman.

She is survived by three sons, Mike of Reno, Fred of Tucson and Barry of Las Vegas; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

No local services are scheduled. Services will be in Reno. John Sparks Memorial Cremation Society, Sparks, is handling arrangements.

Mary Chiuppi

Mary Chiuppi, 67, of Henderson died Wednesday in a local hospital. She was born Dec. 28, 1936, in New York. A resident for 24 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Roger; one daughter, Maureen Taylor of Lancaster, N.Y.; one son, Greg Chiuppi of Henderson; one sister, Angie Blazejewski of Lancaster, N.Y.; and three grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled noon-7 p.m. Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Services will be 10 a.m. Monday in St. Peter's Catholic Church, 204 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park, Henderson.

The family suggests donations to the American Diabetes Association, 2785 E. Desert Inn Road, Las Vegas, NV 89121.

Vincent DiGregorio

Vincent DiGregorio, 77, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 8, 1926, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for 16 years, he was a retired aircraft mechanic and a World War II Army Air Corps veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Josephine; two sons, Michael DiGregorio of New York and Joseph DiGregorio of New Port Richey, Fla.; two daughters, Nancy Way and Susan Kazen, and one son, Thomas DiGregorio, all of Las Vegas; one sister, Anna DiGregorio, and two brothers, Joseph DiGregorio and Phillip DiGregorio, all of New York; and eight grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m.-7 p.m. Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 10 a.m. Monday in St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 130 N. Pecos Road, Henderson. Graveside services will be noon Monday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Elizalde N. Franco

Elizalde N. Franco, 46, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local care center. He was born July 3, 1957, in Manila, Philippines. A resident for 23 years, he was a casino cook and was disabled.

He is survived by his wife, Marilyn; four daughters, Mary Ellyn Franco of Torrance, Calif., and Emely Franco, Maria Elizabeth Franco and Meliza Franco, all of Las Vegas; his father, Amado Franco, and his mother, Lucena Naldoza, both of Las Vegas; two brothers, Amado Franco Jr. of Las Vegas and Jose Franco of Manila; two sisters, Marilyn Diras and Leonisa Espiritu, both of Manila; and one grandchild.

Visitation is scheduled 9 a.m. until a 3 p.m. service Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

Ruth Glover

Ruth Glover, 76, of Las Vegas died Feb. 14 in Las Vegas. She was born Dec. 11, 1927, in Louisiana. A resident for 60 years, she was a local hospital nurse.

She is survived by one son, David Richards, one daughter, Mercedes Richards, and one sister, Flora Cooper, all of Las Vegas; one brother, Louis Richardson of California; and four grandchildren.

Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Vegas View Church of God in Christ, 1906 Glider St. Burial will be private. American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane, is handling arrangements.

Ruby Hane-Etter

Ruby Hane-Etter, 62, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born Nov. 11, 1941, in Hutton Valley, Mo. A resident for one year, she was a retired insurance agent.

She is survived by two daughters, Rhea Jeane Slough of Victorville, Calif., and Teresa Simmons of Fayetteville, Tenn.; one brother, Jerry Wright of Victorville; and three grandchildren.

Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., is handling private arrangements.

Lauretta Holmes

Lauretta Holmes, 78, of Henderson died Feb. 20 in a local health care center. She was born May 16, 1925, in Cincinnati. A resident for 38 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one daughter, Janet Barrow of Henderson.

Visitation was scheduled until 3 p.m. services today in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. .

William Lee Hornsby

William Lee Hornsby, 68, of Las Vegas died Feb. 18 in a local hospital. He was born May 21, 1935, in Mississippi. A resident for 43 years, he was a casino porter.

He is survived by three sons, Lawrence Skeen, Kelvin Ray and Toni Hornsby; six daughters, Felicia Hornsby, Elicia Hornsby, LaTonya Hornsby, Brenda Hornsby, Rosalind Richard and Glory Langston.

Services were scheduled at 11 a.m. today in New Light Church, 1165 Lawry, followed by burial in Woodlawn Cemetery. Garden Memorial Funeral Home, 3600 W. Vegas Drive.

Willie Matthew Jones

Willie Matthew Jones, 75, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born May 4, 1928, in Mississippi. A resident for five years, he was a truck driver.

He is survived by four daughters, Theresa Dobbins, Sharon Jackson and Courtney Armstard, all of California, and Betsey Jones; one brother, Dr. Elbert Jones of North Las Vegas; and seven grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 3-8 p.m. today in American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday in True Love Missionary Baptist church, 1941 H. St. Burial will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens, 6200 S. Eastern Ave.

Paul Joel Krogh

Paul Joel Krogh, 35, of Los Angeles died Nov. 13, 2003, in Los Angeles. He was born Aug. 4, 1968, in Omaha, Neb. A former Las Vegas resident for nine years, he worked in the travel and resort industry, primarily for the MGM Grand.

He is survived by his parents, Joan and Bob Krogh of Blair, Neb.; and one sister, Ann Willingham.

Wayne I. Linke Sr.

Wayne I. Linke Sr., 75, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospice. He was born March 8, 1928, in Los Angeles. A resident for three years, he was a retired oil refinery compound controller.

He is survived by three sons, Dee W. Linke of Las Vegas, Waldo R. Linke of California and Steve M. Hughes of San Diego; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be noon Saturday in Palm Memorial Park, Northwest, 6701 N. Jones Blvd. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.

William D. Lomax Jr.

William D. Lomax Jr., 26, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 21, 1977, in Las Vegas. A resident for 27 years, he was a security officer.

He is survived by his wife, LaKisha; two sons, Inique Lomax of Las Vegas and Joshua Lomax of North Las Vegas; one daughter, Aliaya Lomax of North Las Vegas; his mother, Joyce Charleston of North Las Vegas; his father, William Lomax, and four sisters, Latisha Charleston, Latonya Charleston, Michelle Lomax and Tiana Porter, all of Las Vegas.

Services were scheduled at 11 a.m. today in American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane, followed by burial in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Mary Catherine Meade

Mary Catherine Meade, 64, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born April 26, 1939, in New Haven, Conn. A resident for 16 years, she was a medical office manager.

She is survived by her husband, Richard; three daughters, Margaret M. Tilson of Torrington, Conn., Ellen P. Meade of Woodridge, Ill., and Kimberly A. Gounaikis of Menomonie, Wis.; three sisters, Joanne Daly of Branford, Conn., and Patricia Cox and Alberta Scarinzi, both of Las Vegas; and six grandchildren.

A memorial service was scheduled at 10 a.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

Mary Jane Petze

Mary Jane Petze, 74, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born May 29, 1929, in Boston. A resident for 17 years, she was a retired bookkeeper for a law firm.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, John; one daughter, Carolyn Petze of Wayland, Mass.; one son, John D. Petze of Richmond, Va.; and one grandson.

The family will be receiving guests one hour prior to a 3 p.m. memorial service Saturday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North.

Elwin Reber

Elwin Reber, 69, of St. George, Utah, died Wednesday in a Utah care center. He was born April 22, 1934, in St. George. A former Henderson resident, he was a longtime chemical engineer at Stauffer Chemical in Henderson and a Korean War Army veteran.

He is survived by one daughter, Teresa Reber; four sons, Robert Elwin Reber and Randy Tyler Reber, both of Las Vegas, Dino Delvin Reber of Ivans, Utah, and Joe Ferguson Reber of Springfield, Ore.; two sisters, Wilma Noel of Salt Lake City and Noma Houston of Mesquite; one brother, Robert Demurren of Mesquite; 16 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Visitation is scheduled noon until a 2 p.m. service Saturday in the Mesquite LDS Relief Society room. Graveside services will be 3:30 p.m. Saturday in Littlefield Cemetery, Littlefield, Ariz. Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

The family suggests contributions to the donor's favorite charity.

John L. Thomas

John L. Thomas, 79, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a senior guest home. He was born Oct. 19, 1924, in Cornwall, Ontario. A resident for 16 years, he was a retired tractor-trailer driver and a member of the Teamsters Union.

He is survived by his wife, Lori; three sons; several grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 4 p.m. Tuesday in All Saints Episcopal Church, 4201 W. Washington Ave. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

Theresa Marie Winthrop

Theresa Marie Winthrop, 60, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born June 27, 1943, in Hudson, N.Y. A resident for 12 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Kenneth R. Sr.; two sons, Kenneth R. Winthrop Jr. of Las Vegas and Steven Winthrop of Effort, Pa.; one daughter, Marie Theresa Smith of Las Vegas; one brother, Joseph Giongetti of the Bronx, N.Y.; and three grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 1 p.m. until a 4 p.m. service Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.
