Letter: Gay marriage question cutting across party lines
Friday, Feb. 27, 2004 | 8:53 a.m.
I am upset with the political implications that were hinted at by television newscasters following President Bush's announcement of the issue concerning gay marriage.
Some newscasters hinted that the decision against gay marriage was an issue that was divided down the two major political parties.
This simply is not true and I deeply resent this because the issue did in fact cross party lines when it was voted upon in both the House and Senate where it was overwhelmingly agreed upon that marriage was a sacred union between a man and a woman, period.
