The state Public Utilities Commission will hold a consumer session at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Las Vegas to gather public input on Southwest Gas' proposed $59.8 million rate increase request for Southern Nevada customers.
The event will be held at the Clark County Library, 1401 E. Flamingo Road.
Southwest Gas has requested the 25.5 percent rate increase as part of a purchased gas adjustment case to cover higher natural gas prices.
