Rinker Materials Corp. announced today that it's investing $18.5 million in Las Vegas-area expansions, which includes a new $3.5 million ready mix plant on 5 acres in Kyle Canyon, company officials said.
The plant is expected to be operational by June and will increase the company's local capacity by 10 percent.
A $2 million expansion is under way at the Hydro Conduit's Las Vegas Pipe and Box plant, a division of Rinker Materials in Henderson. The estimated completion date is September.
Rinker's Las Vegas block plant is preparing to develop a second block production line and is scheduled to be fully operational by August. The $8.3 million improvements will increase capacity.
The company also will invest $4.7 million in new trucks to support the expanded operations.
