Southern Hills Hospital & Medical Center is on schedule to open at 12:01 a.m. on March 1.
The HCA Inc.-owned hospital passed the Nevada State Health Division's assessment and has only minor things to repair after the Nevada Department of Public Safety's assessment, hospital spokeswoman Annette Kinsman said Monday.
Southern Hills will have 130 beds and is at 9300 W. Sunset Road in southwest Las Vegas. It is one of three hospitals planned for the area. Competitor Universal Health Services Inc. opened Spring Valley Hospital Medical Center at 5400 S. Rainbow Blvd. on Oct. 2.
Southern Hills will be HCA's third Las Vegas-area hospital, joining Sunrise Hospital & Medical Center and MountainView Hospital.
