Mildred Corinne Bumgarner
Mildred Corinne Bumgarner, 84, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born Aug. 31, 1919, in Saline County, Ill. A resident for 23 years, she was a homemaker and a member of Eastern Star.
She is survived by one daughter, Connie Quinn, and one son, Donald Bumgarner, both of Las Vegas; two sisters, Callie Clark and Kathleen Monroe, both of California; and four grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to a 3 p.m. service Tuesday in Memory Gardens, 7251 W. Lone Mountain Road. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.
Joseph L. Calandro
Joseph L. Calandro, 89, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born Dec. 9, 1914, in Somerset, Pa. A resident for 19 years, he was a retired Continental Airlines pilot, taught flying and was a World War II Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara; two stepdaughters, Josephine and Connie; and two brothers, Herman Calandro of Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., and James A. Wagner of Trenton, Mich.
Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., handled arrangements.
Maria Selva Carrillo
Maria Selva Carrillo, 55, of Las Vegas, died Wednesday in a local hospital. She was born Nov. 8, 1948, in Jalisco, Mexico. A resident for 16 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Apollonio Hernandez Magallon; four sons, Apollonio "Polo" Hernandez Carrillo of Livermore, Calif., Jorge Hernandez Carrillo, Jose Manuel Hernandez Carrillo and Giovanni Hernandez Carrillo, all of Las Vegas; one daughter, Luz Elva "Lucy" Hernandez Carrillo of Las Vegas; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., is handling arrangments.
Guy 'Jiggs' Casey Jr.
Guy "Jiggs" Casey Jr., 82, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local care center. He was born April 2, 1921, in Glen Elder, Kan. A resident for 25 years, he was a retired Air Force lieutenant colonel who served 35 years, was a World War II, Korean War and Vietnam War veteran, a P-38 pilot serving in Italy and Africa with the First Fighter Group, flew as a fighter escort on President Franklin D. Roosevelt's trip to the Yalta conference, was member of Veterans of Foreign Wars, Fighter Flight 62, Order of Daedalians, Quiet Birdmen and Mount Vernon Masonic Lodge in Beloit, Kan., and a Hall of Fame inductee in the Las Vegas Silver Sluggers Senior Softball League.
He is survived by his wife, Beverly June; two daughters, Cindy Donaldson of Henderson and Connie Jo Casey of North Las Vegas; one son, Michael Casey of Beloit; three brothers, Martin Casey and Carrol Casey, both of Glen Elder, and Richard Casey of Cawker City, Kan.; one sister, Martha Hughes of Downs, Kan.; and six grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 3 p.m. Tuesday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.
The family suggests contributions to the donor's favorite charity.
Marvin Engilman
Marvin Engilman, 92, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 8, 1911, in Salt Lake City. A resident for 25 years, he was a retired sales agent for a restaurant supplier.
He is survived by his wife, Anna; one son, Stephen Engilman of Los Angeles; one grandchild and one great-grandchild.
King David Memorial Chapel and Cemetery, 2697 Eldorado Lane, is handling arrangements.
Martha H. Fuchs
Martha H. Fuchs, 91, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. A secretary for a concrete pipe company, she was born Dec. 15, 1912, in New Jersey.
She is survived by one daughter, Lillian Murray of Hillsdale, N.J.
No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in New Jersey. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
Amalia Garcia
Amalia Garcia, 94, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. She was born June 19, 1909, in Puerto Rico. A resident for 25 years, she was a machine operator in the garment industry.
She is survived by two daughters, Mildred E. Bravo and Gloria Cuellar, both of Las Vegas; three sons, Raymond H. Bravo of Port St. Lucie, Fla., William A. Bravo of Hollywood, Fla., and Robert M. Bravo of Las Vegas; one stepdaughter, Delores M. Felez of Puerto Rico; one brother, Nicholas Mezquida of Port St. Lucie; one sister, Pina Mezquida of New York City; and seven grandchildren.
Services will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church, 1111 Michael Way. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens, 7251 W. Lone Mountain Road. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.
Donald L. Kaiser
Donald L. Kaiser, 84, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. He was born April 29, 1919, in Deerfield, Mich. A resident for 36 years, he was a retired Air Force lieutenant colonel and World War II, Korean War, Vietnam War and Berlin Airlift veteran and a member of the Retired Officers Association.
He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Florence; one son, Michael Kaiser of California; one stepson, Robert "R.J." Allred of Las Vegas; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to a 1:30 p.m. service Wednesday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Burial will follow in Eden Vale Memorial Park.
Benses Medina
Benses Medina, 75, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born Dec. 16, 1928, in Rainsville, N.M. A resident for 31 years, he was a retired dairy maintenance worker and a member of Teamsters Local 14.
He is survived by his wife, Stella; three daughters, Gayle Angulo of Las Vegas, Rosemary Rivera of Ridgecrest, Calif., and Patricia Medina of Makawao, Hawaii; two sons, Bensen Medina and Dale Medina, both of Las Vegas; two sisters, Vangi Gallegos of Grants, N.M., and Lucy Lovato of Farmington, N.M.; one brother, Amador Medina of Farmington; 11 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 6-8 p.m. today and one hour prior to a 2 p.m. service Tuesday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park, Northwest, 6701 N. Jones Blvd.
Andrew Plsek
Andrew Plsek, 74, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born April 29, 1929, in Johnstown, Pa. A resident for 15 years, he was a retired steel worker and a Korean War Navy veteran.
He is survived by one nephew, Frank Margetan of Ames, Iowa.
Services were scheduled at 11 a.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. A memorial service will be 3:30 p.m. Tuesday in El Jen Convalescent Home, 5538 W. Duncan Drive. Burial will be in Phoenix.
Melissa R. Scanlon
Melissa R. Scanlon, 54, of Pasadena, Calif., died Monday in Surprise, Ariz. She was born Aug. 10, 1949, in Menominee, Mich. A former Las Vegas resident 1960-1968, she was a registered nurse, a Bishop Gorman High School graduate and a graduate of the University of San Francisco.
She is survived by one daughter, Erin Scanlon of Pasadena; her parents, Arleen and Robert White of Wyoming; one sister, Deborah of St. George, Utah; four brothers, William of Sandy, Utah, James of Las Vegas, Mark of Ventura, Calif., and Steve of St. George; and one stepsister, LeeAnn White of Las Vegas.
Services were scheduled at 10 a.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., followed by burial in Palm Memorial Park.
The family suggests donations to Bishop Gorman High School, 1801 S. Maryland Parkway, Las Vegas, NV 89104.
Taworn Scott
Taworn Scott, 61, of Henderson died Feb. 2 in a local hospice. She was born Jan. 12, 1943, in Thailand. A resident for four years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Rainey; two brothers, Suthat Patjukhmanankan of Bangkok, Thailand, and Somphan Patjukhmanankan of Los Angeles; and two sisters, Ampai Klinsanoi and Amporn Phueksane, both of Bangkok.

Nadean Laughery Voss
Nadean Laughery Voss, 97, of Boulder City died Friday. She was born Jan. 16, 1907, in Valley Center, Calif. A resident for 70 years, she was a retired blue print reproducer for the Bureau of Reclamation, a member of Daughters of the Nile, Eastern Star Desert Chapter 22 in Boulder City and Social Order of the Beauceant and active with the National Association of Retired Federal Employees.
She is survived by one daughter, Arlyn Mobley of Boulder City; one son, Maurice of Beaver, Utah; two stepdaughters, Ruth Schilberg of Vista, Calif., and Dorothy Helms of Las Vegas; one stepson, Richard Voss of Colorado Springs, Colo.; 15 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to a 2 p.m. service Tuesday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Graveside services will follow at 3 p.m. Tuesday in Boulder City Cemetery, 501 Adams Blvd.
Gloria 'Perri' Warner
Gloria "Perri" Warner, 74, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. She was born March 21, 1929, in Los Angeles. A resident for 36 years, she was a retired Showboat hotel food server, a dog groomer and a member of the Culinary Union.
She is survived by one daughter, Shannon Warner of Los Angeles; and one brother, Fred Warner of Banning, Calif.
