18 Southern Nevadans appointed to state boards

CARSON CITY -- Gov. Kenny Guinn Thursday announced the appointment of 18 Clark County residents to various state boards and commissions.

Tom Warden, Raelene Palmer and Larry Burns, all of Las Vegas, were appointed to the National Community Service Commission. Charles Thompson of Las Vegas was selected for the Community Notification Advisory Council, and Robb Johnson, Richard McKee and Richard Wiseman, all of Las Vegas, and Penny Rogers of Henderson were appointed to the Public Safety Telecommunications Operators Board.

Dr. Tyree Carr of Las Vegas was chosen for the Trust Fund for Public Health; Dr. Michael Knehr and Dr. Carren Knehr, both of Las Vegas, were appointed to the Early Intervention Interagency Coordinating Council. Pamela Egan of Henderson was chosen for the Workforce Investment Board and Randall Reinoso of Las Vegas was named to the Board of Examiners for Social Workers.

Diana Bond, Dr. Robert Horne and Linda Flynn, all of Las Vegas and Dr. Alan Greenberg and Thomas Wiser, both of Henderson, were appointed to the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee.
