Colby Lee Sauer
Colby Lee Sauer, 2, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born Feb. 2, 2002, in Las Vegas.
He is survived by his parents, Lara Lynne Resnick-Sauer and Gary Lee Sauer, and one sister, Ryleigh Elise Sauer, all of Las Vegas; his aunt, Dana Gentry of Henderson; and his grandparents, Marilyn Resnick of Las Vegas, Lorraine Annette Alvarado of Parker, Colo., and Gary Lee Sauer Sr. of Spokane, Wash.
A memorial service will be noon-1 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Graveside services will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
Virginia Lee Ayres
Virginia Lee Ayres, 87, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born Oct. 20, 1916, in Illinois. A resident for seven years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by one daughter, Julie Skinner; and one grandchild.
Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling private arrangements.
Charlotte J. Balke
Charlotte J. Balke, 88, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born Jan. 21, 1916, in West Mineral, Kan. A resident for 27 years, she was a retired federal government executive secretary, a member of the Cactus, Water and Energy Society and the National Democratic Counsel.
She is survived by her husband, Walter E.; one son, Paul K. Balke of Italy; one daughter, Pam Rogaski of Chicago; five grandchildren including grandson, Michael Balke of Henderson; and nine great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 4 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.
The family suggests donations to the Multiple Sclerosis Society, 1919 S. Jones Blvd., Las Vegas, NV 89146.
Rose Bedingfield
Rose Bedingfield, 85, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born Dec. 4, 1918, in Witherbee, N.Y. A resident for 16 years, she was retired and was a homemaker.
She is survived by two sons, Marton Bedingfield and James Bedingfield, both of Las Vegas; one grandchild; and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 4 p.m. until a 6 p.m. vigil Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Friday in Our Lady of Las Vegas Catholic Church, 3050 Alta Drive. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.
Aurelia Santiago Gacula
Aurelia Santiago Gacula, 78, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born June 26, 1925, in the Philippines. A resident for three months, she was a seamstress.
She is survived by seven sons, Jose Gacula, Jessie Gacula, Joel Gacula, Robert Gacula, Edie Gacula, Ferdie Gacula and Elias Gacula; four daughters, Corazon Uzep, Purisima Piedao, Zenaida Batallones and Alicia Mercado; one sister, Aurora Nicholas; 48 grandchildren; and 49 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North.
Ruth Gutierrez
Ruth Gutierrez, 95, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born June 18, 1908, in Montana.
She is survived by one daughter, Bessie Oliver of Las Vegas.
No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in Utah. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
Michael Hall
Michael Hall, 39, of North Las Vegas, died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 12, 1964, in Ogden, Utah. A resident for one year, he was a driver and a Navy veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Gretchen Hall, two sons, Richard Albert Hall and Matthew Ryan Hall, and his parents, Donald and Monique Hall, all of North Las Vegas; his twin brother, Robert Hall of Las Vegas; three sisters, Patricia Nelson of Las Vegas, Cristine Buffington of Vacaville, Calif., and Ruthann Garr of Fairfield, Calif.; and two stepbrothers, Ron Durbin of San Diego and Michael Durbin of Costa Mesa, Calif.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Thursday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.
Marguerite Hausmann
Marguerite Hausmann, 89, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born Aug. 5, 1914, in Los Angeles. A resident for 14 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by family and friends.
Visitation is scheduled noon until a 1 p.m. service Thursday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens.
Debra Denise Howard
Debra Denise Howard, 45, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. She was born Dec. 16, 1958, in Pascagoula, Miss. A resident for 31 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Allan C.; four sons, Shakir P. Fitzgerald and Javon Howard, both of Las Vegas, and La Antwan Howard and Desmond Howard, both of North Las Vegas; two daughters, La Antionette Howard of North Las Vegas and Crystal Williams of Las Vegas; her father, Willie Farmer of Louisville, Ky.; her mother, Virginia R. Fountaine of North Las Vegas; two brothers, La Kunka Farmer of Louisville and Derrick S. Johnson of Pascagoula, Miss.; and three sisters, Mellany Rene Farmer of Las Vegas, Bonita M. Spencer of North Las Vegas and Tonya Shown of Louisville.
Visitation is scheduled 6-8 p.m. Thursday in American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday in Pilgrim Church of Christ Holiness USA. A private burial will follow.
Nobuyoshi Kori
Nobuyoshi Kori, 74, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 15, 1929, in Japan. A resident for eight years, he was an architect.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Takako; one daughter, Hiroko Huffman of Las Vegas; and four grandchildren.
A memorial service was scheduled at 3 p.m. today in the Desert Breeze LDS chapel, 9580 Peace Way. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.
Iosefa Lewis
Iosefa Lewis, 46, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born Nov. 7, 1957, in Micronesia. A resident for 15 years, she was a guest room attendant at The Mirage.
She is survived by her husband, Rocky Godbout of Las Vegas; and three daughters, Markita Lewis of North Carolina and Jeranda Godbout and Julie Godbout, both of Las Vegas.
Services will be 3-7 p.m. Thursday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 1 p.m. Friday in Bunkers Chapel. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens, 7251 W. Lone Mountain Road.
Stephen G. Lisowski
Stephen G. Lisowski, 77, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born Feb. 13, 1927, in West Lydon, N.Y. A resident for 32 years, he was a retired iron worker who worked at the Nevada Test Site for 30 years, a World War II Army veteran and a member of the Iron Workers Union for 50 years.
He is survived by two daughters, Carol Fitzgerald of Las Vegas and Nancy Eicklemann-Wood of Goose Creek, S.C.; one son, Stephen R. Lisowski of Solana Beach, Calif.; and four grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 4 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.
The family suggests donations to the American Cancer Society, 1325 E. Harmon Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89119.
John Messeri
John Messeri, 82, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local care center. He was born April 8, 1921, in San Pietro In Valle, Italy. A resident for 15 years, he was a wreck master with Consolidated Rail Corp. and a Marine Corps veteran.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Dino Messeri.
He is survived by his wife, Helen; two sisters, Mary Molan of Rutherford, N.J., and Veronica LaForgia of Fairlawn, N.J.
Visitation is scheduled 11 a.m. until a 1 p.m. service Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.
The family suggests donations to the American Heart Association, 6370 W. Flamingo Road, Suite 1, Las Vegas, NV 89103.
Dominick John Montalto
Dominick John Montalto, 76, of North Las Vegas died Sunday in North Las Vegas. He was born July 17, 1927, in New York City. A resident for 24 years, he was a retired laborer in the sanitation industry and a World War II Army veteran.
He is survived by two sons, Daniel Montalto and Michael Montalto, both of Las Vegas; two daughters, Jodi Achberger and Debbie Jorgenson, both of North Las Vegas; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
