Frances H. Cino

Frances H. Cino, 80, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born Sept. 6, 1923, in New York City. A resident for 29 years, she was a retired hospital administrative clerk.

She is survived by one daughter, Joan Wasserman of New York; one son, Joseph Cino of Las Vegas; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Visitation is scheduled 11 a.m. until a 1 p.m. service Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

William Collar

William Collar, 74, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 25, 1929, in Warren, Pa. A resident for 12 years, he was an industrial engineer in the electronics industry, a Korean War Navy veteran and a member of the Elks and Masons.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Alice; two sons, Sam Collar and John Collar, both of Orange County, Calif.; one daughter, Sandra Rosenfels of Morristown, Tenn.; two sisters, Bette Bush of Atlanta and Frankie Mack of Tallahassee, Fla.; one brother, James Collar of Florence, S.C.; and seven grandchildren.

Nevada Funeral Service-Nevada Cremation or Burial Society, 2983 Fremont St., is handling private arrangements.

Janet C. Fron

Janet C. Fron, 80, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. She was born Sept. 30, 1923, in Grand Rapids, Mich. A resident for 17 years, she was a retired human resources director for Sears and a member of Sears Retirees.

She is survived by two sons, Joseph M. Fron of Richton Park, Ill., and Thomas R. Fron of Niles, Mich.; one brother, Marvin E. Post of Grand Rapids, Mich.; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling private arrangements.

The family suggests contributions to the donor's favorite charity.

Mary L. Haley

Mary L. Haley, 71, of Las Vegas died Feb. 5 in a local hospital. She was born Feb. 3, 1933, in Memphis, Tenn. A resident for nine years, she was a nurse's assistant for the North Las Vegas Care Center.

She is survived by one daughter, Ernestine Haley of Las Vegas.

A memorial service will be 6 p.m. Tuesday in Zion Methodist Church, 2108 N. Revere St. A private burial will follow. American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane, is handling arrangements.

Charles Raymond Horton Sr.

Charles Raymond Horton Sr., 83, of North Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born June 26, 1920, in New York City. A resident for 41 years, he was a retired Navy chief petty officer and a World War II and Korean War veteran.

He is survived by three daughters, Elsie Daly of North Las Vegas and Mary Askin and Faye Bundy, both of Las Vegas; two sons, Ronald Horton of Las Vegas and Robert E. Horton of Henderson; 18 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday in Memory Gardens, 7251 W. Lone Mountain Road. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Joseph Bob Mikulich

Joseph Bob Mikulich, 81, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 8, 1922, in Las Vegas. A lifelong resident, he owned and operated the Ambassador Motel on Fremont Street for 45 years and the Best Western Ambassador Motel at Tenth and Fremont streets for 12 years, was a member of the Las Vegas Lions Club and the Las Vegas Chamber and Motel Association and was a World War II Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Betty; one son, Gary Mikulich of Gardnerville; one daughter, Christine Mikulich-Cook, and two sisters, Rosemary Pisani and Frances Mikulich, all of Las Vegas; and four grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Thursday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North.

Russell Craig Nicol

Russell Craig Nicol, 57, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 9, 1946, in California. A resident for two years, he was a landscaping contractor.

He is survived by one daughter, Shani Howard of Las Vegas; and five grandchildren.

John L. Pleischl

John L. Pleischl, 60, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 11, 1943, in Cleveland. A resident for 15 years, he was a race and sports book writer and a member of Knights of Columbus.

He is survived by three sisters, Barbara Frederich of Tallahassee, Fla., Cecelia Murray of LeCanto, Fla., and Mary Gravenstreter of North Olmstead, Ohio; and one brother, Larry J. Pleischl of Rocky River, Ohio.

Joseph Gerald Puerner

Joseph Gerald Puerner, 72, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. An artist and Korean War Navy veteran, he was born July 3, 1931, in Chicago.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia A.; two sons, Fred and Anthony; and five daughters, Victoria, Lisa, Mary Beth, Annette and Patricia.

Foster F. Tusing

Foster F. Tusing, 79, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born Feb. 14, 1924, in Shenandoah County, Va. A resident for 41 years, he was a retired electrician for a public utility, a World War II and Korean War Marine Corps and Navy veteran who was a Purple Heart recipient during World War II.

He is survived by two daughters, Joan G. Bocik of Las Vegas and Theresa M. Woodard of Henderson; one sister, Shirley Stoe of Millersville, Pa.; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Palm Valley View Memorial Park, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.

Vanessa Ann West-Hamel

Vanessa Ann West-Hamel, 39, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born March 28, 1964, in Las Vegas. A lifelong resident, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Darrel; one son, Justen West of Las Vegas; her father, Jimmie West of Riverside, Calif.; and one brother, Jimmie K. West of Las Vegas.
