Edward Ayala

Edward Ayala, 63, of Henderson died Jan. 26 in Henderson. A wholesale salesman, he was born Dec. 26, 1940, in Santa Barbara, Calif.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon; three daughters, Christine Smith of Moorpark, Calif., Nanette Ayala of Ely and Donna Ayers of Newhall, Calif.; one son, Edward J. Ayala of Newberry Park, Calif.; two brothers, Jim Ayala of Goleta, Calif., and Bobby Bonitti of Santa Barbara; two sisters, Connie Blake-Lobb of Buelton, Calif., and Linda Lopez of Santa Barbara; and seven grandchildren.

Ariel Marie Botzet

Ariel Marie Botzet, 11, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born Nov. 6, 1992, in Las Vegas.

She is survived by her parents, Randy and Cheryl Botzet, and two brothers, Blake Botzet and Skyler Musso, all of Las Vegas; and her grandparents, Dennis and Joan Botzet of South St. Paul, Minn., Robert Musso of Las Vegas and Palma Daniels of Arlington, Wash.

Visitation is scheduled 3-7 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 9 a.m. Saturday in Palm Chapel, Eastern. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Natalie Mervis Butler

Natalie Mervis Butler, 63, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born Sept. 12, 1940, in Cleveland. A resident for 22 years, she was a law secretary.

She is survived by her husband, Murray; one stepdaughter, Barbara Goldberg of Las Vegas; one stepson, Barry Butler of Hollywood, Fla.; one sister, Phyllis Simon of Toronto; and two grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 6 p.m. Friday by invitation only. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

Conrado 'Bogie' Gonzales Jr.

Conrado "Bogie" Gonzales Jr., 30, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 7, 1973, in Las Vegas. A lifelong resident, he was a musician.

He is survived by one son, Joseph Clark Gonzales; his father, Conrado Gonzales and wife Virginia L.; his companion, Davina Lynch; and two sisters, Yetta-Kaye Alfaro and Lacy Tierney.

Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday in Grapevine Fellowship, 2323 S. Nellis Blvd. Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., is handling arrangements.

Richard D. Hamilton

Richard D. Hamilton, 86, of Boulder City died Monday in Boulder City. He was born Jan. 17, 1918, in Beloit, Kan. A resident for 15 years, he was a police officer for the Glendale, Calif., Police Department for 40 years and a World War II Navy veteran.

He was preceded in death by one son, Rod Hamilton.

He is survived by his wife, Carole; two daughters, Kathleen Luke of Bishop, Calif., and Susan Macauley of Reno; one son, John Hamilton of Boulder City; and several grandchildren.

A memorial service date in Bishop is pending. Boulder City Family Mortuary, 833 Nevada Way, Suite 1, is handling arrangements.

Ross Haller Johnson

Ross Haller Johnson, 78, of Las Vegas died Monday. He was born Feb. 5, 1926, in Indiana. A resident for 4 1/2 years, he was an accountant, an Army veteran and a member of the Lions Club.

He is survived by his wife, Maryrose H.; one son, Thomas Johnson of Las Vegas; three daughters, Jayne Sarr of Port St. John, Fla., Amy Palmer of Grand Junction, Colo., and Caroline Mitchel of Las Vegas; one sister, Betty McPherson of Decatur, Ala.; and nine grandchildren.

Services will be 4 p.m. Friday in All Saints Episcopal Church, 4201 W. Washington Ave. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Anne Levithure

Anne Levithure, 82, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born Feb. 18, 1921, in Illinois. A resident for eight years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one daughter, Judy Smith of Las Vegas.

Gary L. Mason

Gary L. Mason, 53, of Henderson died Feb. 5 in Henderson. He was born Oct. 8, 1950, in Canton, N.C. A resident for 1 1/2 years in Las Vegas and 1 1/2 years in Henderson, he was a jewelry designer, salesman and repairman.

He is survived by his wife, Deanna; one daughter, Mellisa Mason of Henderson; and two sons, Mark Mason of Anchorage, Alaska, and Paul Mason of North Carolina.

Nancy M. McKay, 73, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospice. A retired insurance secretary, she was born March 18, 1930, in St. Paul, Minn.

She is survived by three daughters, Robin E. McCormick-Loggins of Morro Bay, Calif., Patricia Traub of Tempe, Ariz., and Barbara Robinson of Las Vegas; one brother, Wilson R. More of Alpine, Calif.; one sister, Phyllis Ratliffe of Hilton Head, S.C.; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Jody Lynn Rowland Murphy, 51, of Boulder City died Monday in Boulder City. She was born July 28, 1952, in Boulder City. A lifelong resident, she was an elementary school teacher for 28 years with the Clark County School District and was teaching at Whitney Elementary School, active in the Intercity Games, was a member of Beta Sigma Phi and the NEA.

She is survived by her husband, James Richard; one son, Ryan Thomas Murphy of Boulder City; two stepdaughters, Julie Lynn Murphy of New York City and Jodi Lynn Kirchhefer of Reno; one stepson, Michael Scott Murphy of Azusa, Calif.; her parents, Thomas E. and Jo A. Rowland of Henderson; two brothers, Timothy Lee Rowland of Phoenix and Thomas Andrew Rowland of Woodstock, Ga.; three sisters, Violet Marle Goudie of Palmdale, Calif., Katrina Jo Vander Wall of Ephrata, Wash., and Jill Rene Bird of Richland, Wash.; and five step-grandchildren.

Gary Nelson, 64, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born May 22, 1939, in Sidney, Neb. A resident for 28 years, he was a retired computer programmer and a Vietnam War Air Force veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Marina; one daughter, Sharlene Schencke of Las Vegas; one brother, Kent Nelson of California; and two grandchildren.

George Parker Stannard

George Parker Stannard, 78, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 9, 1925, in Youngstown, Ohio. A resident for 16 years, he was a teacher, a World War II Navy veteran and member of the Submarine Veterans of World War II.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Valene; one son, Kirby Joe Stannard of Tucson; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to an 11 a.m. service Saturday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Graveside services will be in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

June Taylor

June Taylor, 81, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born June 13, 1922, in Chicago. A resident for three years, she was a bookkeeper for a manufacturing firm and a retired tutor.

She is survived by three sons, Don McFarland and Barney Roy Taylor, both of Las Vegas and Douglas Ray Taylor of Portland, Ore.; one sister, Emily Jane Jones of Las Vegas; seven grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in the LDS chapel at 375 N. Hollywood Blvd. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Benny B. Webb

Benny B. Webb, 47, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 31, 1956, in Las Vegas. A lifelong resident, he was a hotel porter.

He is survived by two daughters, Natasha Smith and Benisha Webb, and one son, Brandon Webb, all of Las Vegas; his father, Cecil Webb of North Las Vegas; five brothers, James C. Webb, Ronnie Webb, Steve Webb, David Webb and Kavern Webb, and five sisters, Patricia Davis, Detria Lindsey, Beverly Webb, Kimberly Brown and Shelia Webb, all of Las Vegas; and one grandchild.

Visitation is scheduled noon-7 p.m. Friday in American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Pentecostal Temple Church of God in Christ, 1117 N. F St. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

John I. Welsh

John I. Welsh, 20, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 1, 1983, in Denver. A resident for 1 1/2 years, he was a college student.

He is survived by his mother, Margaret J. Welsh, and two brothers, J. Garrett Welsh and Christopher P. Welsh, all of Las Vegas.

Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday in Palm Chapel, Cheyenne. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park, Northwest, 6701 N. Jones Blvd.
