He is clicking at 41.2 percent from 3-point range, tops on the Tennessee squad. The Volunteers sit at 11-8 as of Wednesday, but they have gone just 3-5 in SEC play.
Looking back: The 2001-02 Sun All-State Player of the Year, Watson is one of the finest high school basketball players to pass through Southern Nevada in recent memory. In his final season with the Gaels, this two-time All-State pick did a little bit of everything, averaging 26 points and eight rebounds to lead Gorman to a 4A State Championship victory. Watson also averaged six steals per game. In 2001-02, Gorman won its second 4A title in three years, and made its third consecutive showing in the title game.
