Joseph W. Beachboard
Joseph W. Beachboard, 61, of Carson City died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 25, 1942, in Oklahoma City. A former Las Vegas resident from 1966 to 1979, he was a casino shift manager in Las Vegas and Lake Tahoe at Caesars Palace and most recently at the Peppermill hotel in Reno.
He is survived by his wife, Anita Gayleen; two sons, Joseph L. Beachboard of Palos Verdes, Calif., and Russel Wayne Kissel of Yuma, Ariz.; three daughters, Jeanie Colon, Katie Portello and Catherine Rodriguez, all of Las Vegas; one sister, Molly Bee of Carlsbad, Calif.; one brother, Robert Beachboard of Escondido, Calif.; and 12 grandchildren.
Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling private arrangements.
The family suggests donations to Greater Basin Sierra Chapter of the Multiple Sclerosis Society, 255 W. Moana, Suite 107, Reno, NV 89509-4942.
Mary Rose Bennett
Mary Rose Bennett, 76, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born July 11, 1927, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for 25 years, she was a retired elevator operator for a department store.
She is survived by two sons, Robert Bennett of North Las Vegas and James Bennett of South Carolina; one daughter, Paris Ann Bennett of Las Vegas; one sister, Gloria LaMante of Florida; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation was scheduled 1-4 p.m. today in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 9 a.m. Thursday in Bunkers Chapel. Graveside services will follow in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.
Pasquale Conte
Pasquale Conte, 79, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 21, 1924, in Bisa Quino, Italy. A resident for 46 years, he was a retired truck driver, a World War II Army veteran, past president of Teamsters Local 14 and treasurer of Teamsters Retirees Association.
He is survived by two sons, P.J. Conte of Las Vegas and Christopher Conte of Henderson; one daughter, Francine Carver of Las Vegas; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation was scheduled 3 p.m. until a 5 p.m. service today in Christ the King Catholic Church, 4925 S. Torrey Pines Drive. Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Thursday in Christ the King Catholic Church. Graveside services will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.
Robert J. Cook
Robert J. Cook, 81, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born Dec. 4, 1922, in Dike, Iowa. A resident for 17 years, he was a retired motel manager, a World War II Navy veteran and a member of the Elks.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy; one son, Jim Cook; two daughters, Judy Schubich and Joanne Jackson; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.
Adasha Lanae Edison
Adasha Lanae Edison, 16, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born Feb. 27, 1987, in Beaumont, Texas. A resident for 10 years, she was a choir member, photographer and historian at Shadow Ridge High School.
She is survived by her mother and stepfather, Pam K. and Tom B. Fulbrook of Las Vegas; her father and stepmother, Frank Edison Jr. and Debra Edison, two half-brothers, Dannon Edison and Cedric Edison, and one half-sister, Demetria Edison, all of Austin, Texas; two stepbrothers, Brian Fulbrook and Brandon Fulbrook, both of Las Vegas; her grandparents, Patsy J. and James D. Williams of Beaumont, Texas; and her step-grandparents, Marie G. and Edward J. Fulbrook of Las Vegas.
A memorial service was scheduled Tuesday in Canyon Ridge Christian Church, 6200 W. Lone Mountain Road. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.
The family suggests donations to Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Office of Donor Services, 1311 Mamaroneck Ave., White Plains, NY 10605.
Donald 'Domino' Gibson
Donald "Domino" Gibson, 28, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born April 16, 1975, in Newellton, La. A resident for 17 years, he was an auto body painter for a car repair service.
He is survived by one son, Noah Tarik Gibson of Las Vegas; his father, Elijah Washington of Newellton; his mother and stepfather, Nancy and Roderick Wesley of Las Vegas; four brothers, Darren Gibson, Roderick Gibson and Dustin Gibson, all of Las Vegas, and Wilbur Washington of Los Angeles; two sisters, Rodercia Wesley of Las Vegas and Brenda Washington of Dallas; and his grandmother, Florence Coleman of Las Vegas.
A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St.
Darwin E. Guevara
Darwin E. Guevara, 28, of Las Vegas died Sunday. He was born March 26, 1975, in San Perdo Sula, Honduras. A resident for seven years, he was a hospitality scheduler.
He is survived by his wife, Yesenia; two sons, Bryan Guevara and Daniel Guevara, both of Las Vegas; his mother, Luz Pettit, and his father, Rene Guevara, both of Honduras; and four brothers, Baglioni Guevara of Henderson, Rene Guevara of Las Vegas and David Vasquez and Romario Guevara, both of Honduras.
Visitation is scheduled 10 a.m. until a 2 p.m. service Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
Janet Olywn Hanken
Janet Olywn Hanken, 67, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born Jan. 24, 1937, in Hartford, Conn.
She is survived by her husband, Ralph; one daughter, Peggy Jo Beverage; and two sons, Larry Hanken and Michael Hanken.
No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in California. Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Gary F. Lange
Gary F. Lange, 57, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 3, 1946, in Cleveland. A resident for 30 years, he was a carrier for the federal government.
He is survived by his wife, Cheryl; two sons, Todd Lange and Shawn Lange, and his father, Frank Lange, all of Las Vegas; and one sister, Lorda Bonyhadi of Fresno, Calif.

Daniel Lee Pratt
Daniel Lee Pratt, 65, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local care center. A retired automobile worker and an Army veteran, he was born June 14, 1938, in Clinton, Mich.
He is survived by three sons, Ronald Logan of Tecumseh, Mich., Timothy Logan of Brighton, Mich., and Robert Pratt of Las Vegas; one daughter, Lisa Henes of Saline, Mich.; and eight grandchildren.
Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.
Roy 'Skip' Preis Jr.
Roy "Skip" Preis Jr., 71, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born April 6, 1932, in Chicago. A resident for 21 years, he was a retired food salesman.
He is survived by his wife, Geri; two daughters, Debra Regecz of Dundee, Ill., and Donna Mason of Powells Point, N.C.; one son, Gary Preis of West Dundee, Ill.; one sister, Dolores Schweiss of Gray Lake, Ill.; and six grandchildren.

James A. Richards
James A. Richards, 77, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born June 30, 1926, in Beckley, W.Va. A resident for 12 years, he was a retired motor shop owner-operator and a World War II Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Vi; one son, Steven Richards of North Las Vegas; one daughter, Carol Stromko of Maplewood, N.J.; one sister, Margaret Wildman of South Charleston, Ohio; and five grandchildren.

Bella Samson
Bella Samson, 95, of North Las Vegas died Monday in North Las Vegas. She was born Jan. 6, 1909, in Russia. A resident for 15 years, she was a retired owner-operator of a dry cleaning establishment and laundry and a member of Pioneer Women.
She is survived by one daughter, Harriet Ross of Las Vegas; six grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Thursday in King David Memorial Chapel and Cemetery, 2697 Eldorado Lane.

Dalvir Singh
Dalvir Singh, 55, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 4, 1948, in India. A resident for 15 years, he was a chef.
He is survived by his wife, Gurdev Kaur; two sons, Anup Singh of Las Vegas and Sukhjiner Singh of Australia; two daughters, Amandeep Kaur of Las Vegas and Surjit Kaur of Scotland; and two grandchildren.
Services will be 1 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. Friday in Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd.
