Gordon 'Andy' Anderson

Gordon "Andy" Anderson, 83, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born May 9, 1920, in Spring Valley, Wis. A resident for 44 years, he was a retired manager of a concrete company, a World War II Army veteran, a member of the Disabled American Veterans and American Legion.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; two sons, Randy Anderson and Jeff Anderson, both of Las Vegas; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

Robert Austin

Robert Austin, 81, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 16, 1922, in LaJunta, Colo. A resident for 60 years, he was a retired attorney and a World War II and Korean War Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Marianne; three sons, John Edgar Austin, Thomas Robert Austin and Michael William Austin; and one daughter, Mary Kay Austin.

Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Eloise M. Chavez

Eloise M. Chavez, 50, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born Sept. 7, 1953, in Espanola, N.M. A resident for 30 years, she was a hair salon owner-operator.

She is survived by her husband, Jacobo; her mother, Corine Maestas, and two brothers, Joe Maestas and Freddie Maestas, all of Las Vegas; and three sisters, Janice Maestas and Theresa Valdez, both of Santa Fe, N.M., and Adelia Pangallo of Las Vegas.

Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Viator Catholic Church, 2461 E. Flamingo Road.

Michael J. Harrington

Michael J. Harrington, 65, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Nov. 3, 1938, in Philadelphia. A resident for nine years, he was a retired longshoreman and a Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Anna C.; four sons, James J. Harrington, Michael S. Harrington and Eddie W. Harrington, all of Las Vegas, and Sean E. Harrington of Philadelphia; one brother, Ronald P. Harrington of Las Vegas; and four grandchildren.

Graveside services will be noon Thursday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.

Anthony Kenik

Anthony Kenik, 78, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 2, 1925, in Waukegan, Ill. A resident for 24 years, he was a retired steel millwright and a World War II Army Air Corps veteran.

He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Eleanor; three sons, Kenneth Kenik of Highland Park, Ill., Steven Kenik of Lake Villa, Ill., and Timothy Kenik of Waukegan; one daughter, Toni Herrero of Waukegan; one brother, Frank Kenik of Wadsworth, Ill.; one sister, Marge Latz of Spring Hill, Fla.; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Eleanor Koffman

Eleanor Koffman, 89, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local health care center. She was born March 14, 1914, in St. Louis. A resident for 10 years, she was a homemaker and a member of the Mildred Strauss Chapter of Mount Sinai Hospital and Clinic.

She is survived by one daughter, Morrine Rutberg of Las Vegas; one son, Douglas Koffman of Los Angeles; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

No local services are scheduled. Services will be in Hollywood, Calif. King David Memorial Chapel and Cemetery, 2697 Eldorado Lane, is handling arrangements.

Rene 'Irene' Lillengreen

Rene "Irene" Lillengreen, 56, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. She was born March 23, 1947, in Hawthorne. A lifelong Nevada resident, she was a chiropractic assistant.

She is survived by two sons, Mark Carver and Anthony B. Carver, one brother, Sherman B. Gonce, and one sister, Sandra J. Penna, all of Las Vegas.

Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.

Eleonora Maldonado

Eleonora Maldonado, 76, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. She was born Oct. 14, 1927, in New York City. A resident for four years, she was a retired bookkeeper for a textile manufacturer.

She is survived by two daughters, Florina Mendoza of Las Vegas and Rocio Cisneros of Hanford, Calif.; two sons, Roman Mendoza and Alex Cisneros, both of Las Vegas; and eight grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Lone Mountain Missionary Baptist Church. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.

Daniel L. Malich

Daniel L. Malich, 38, of Las Vegas died Saturday. An entrepreneur in the performing arts industry, he was born Jan. 10, 1966, in Lemoore, Calif.

He is survived by his parents, Sandra K. and Thomas C. Malich Sr., and three brothers, Thomas Malich, Michael Malich and Joseph Malich, all of Las Vegas; and two sisters, Mary Malich of Blue Springs, Mo., and Tammy Malich of Las Vegas.

A memorial service will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 1811 Pueblo Vista Drive. Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Marty Minks

Marty Minks, 57, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born March 24, 1946, in Wichita, Kan. A resident for 40 years, he was an engineer in the gaming industry.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth; three daughters, Tina Cusimano, Rachelle Ruth and Antoinette Minks, and his mother and stepfather, Rachel and Duane Olson, all of Las Vegas; one brother, Richard Minks of Idaho; three sisters, Jo-Lynn Emery of Georgia, Joyce Franklin of Tacoma, Wash., and Kathy McKay of Las Vegas; 16 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Mary Ellen Mortensen

Mary Ellen Mortensen, 81, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born Jan. 2, 1923, in Chillicothe, Mo. A resident for 38 years, she was a homemaker and a World War II Army Air Corps veteran.

She is survived by her husband, Jay M.; two daughters, Sharon Thomas and Karen Allred, and one son, Terry Mortensen, all of Las Vegas; one sister, Kathleen Hade of Salmon, Idaho; one brother, Jack Jenkins of Las Cruces, N.M.; and three grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to an 11 a.m. service Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Graveside services will follow at 1:20 p.m. Wednesday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Jody Lynn Rowland Murphy

Jody Lynn Rowland Murphy, 51, of Boulder City died Monday in Boulder City. She was born July 28, 1952, in Boulder City. A lifelong resident, she was an elementary school teacher for 28 years with the Clark County School District and most recently was teaching at Whitney Elementary School, was active in the Inter City Games, was a member of Beta Sigma Phi and the NEA.

She is survived by her husband, James Richard; one son, Ryan Thomas Murphy of Boulder City; two stepdaughters, Julie Lynn Murphy of New York City and Jodi Lynn Kirchhefer of Reno; one stepson, Michael Scott Murphy of Azusa, Calif.; her parents, Thomas E. and Jo A. Rowland of Henderson; two brothers, Timothy Lee Rowland of Phoenix and Thomas Andrew Rowland of Woodstock, Ga.; three sisters, Violet Marle Goudie of Palmdale, Calif., Katrina Jo Vander Wall of Ephrata, Wash., and Jill Rene Bird of Richland, Wash.; and five step-grandchildren.

A wake will be 6 p.m. Wednesday in St. Andrew Catholic Church, 1399 San Felipe Drive, Boulder City. Boulder City Family Mortuary, 833 Nevada Way, Suite 1, Boulder City, is handling arrangements.

Gale L. Rasmussen

Gale L. Rasmussen, 80, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born April 5, 1923, in Waterloo, Iowa. A resident for 41 years, he was a display representative for a liquor company and a World War II Army Air Corps veteran.

He is survived by one daughter, Jill Mooney of Boulder City; one son, Jim Rasmussen of Phoenix; one brother, Cecil Rasmussen of Traer, Iowa; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 5-7 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be noon Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Robert G. Rathmann Sr., 79, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born July 9, 1924, in Davenport, Iowa. A resident for 28 years, he was a retired building inspector and a World War II Army Air Corps veteran.

He is survived by three sons, Jean Rathmann and Eric Rathmann, both of Las Vegas, and Robert Rathmann II of San Jose, Calif.; one daughter, Linda Stanley of Sparks; 10 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Timothy D. Regan Jr.

Timothy D. Regan Jr., 59, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born June 1, 1944, in Boston. A resident for four years, he was a retired engineer for a metal manufacturer and a Vietnam War Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret B.; one son, Daniel Regan of Chino Hills, Calif.; two daughters, Kathleen Regan of Henderson and Maureen Regan of Glendale, Calif.; and two grandchildren.

Alfonso Reza Jr., 28, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. A resident for 18 years, he was born Dec. 20, 1975, in Dallas.

He is survived by one daughter, Lily Reza, his parents, Rosa Rios and Alfonso Reza, one sister, Soraya Andrade, and his companion, Jennifer Ruelas, all of Las Vegas.

Maurice O. Riddle Sr.

Maurice O. Riddle Sr., 59, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 30, 1944, in Brevard, N.C. A resident for 38 years, he was an automobile mechanic.

He is survived by his wife, Roseanna LaFata; three sons, Maurice Riddle Jr., Bill Riddle and Michael Riddle; one daughter, Janie Riddle of Las Vegas; one sister, Jane Napier of Evarts, N.C.; and two grandchildren.

A memorial service will be noon Sunday in Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd.

Cynthia 'Cindy' Sacomano

Cynthia "Cindy" Sacomano, 74, of North Las Vegas died Friday in North Las Vegas. She was born July 29, 1929, in Las Cruces, N.M. A resident for 46 years, she was a retired restaurant manager.

She is survived by two daughters, Susan Clark of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, and Linda Porter of Port Republic, Va.; two sisters, Virginia Kitterman and Venice Zasloff, both of Las Vegas; and four grandchildren.

A memorial service and reception to celebrate Cindy's life will be 3-6 p.m. Thursday at Las Vegas National Golf Club, 1911 E. Desert Inn Road. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Donald John Ursem, 61, of Las Vegas died Thursday. He was born Aug. 24, 1942, in Cleveland. A resident for 11 years, he owned and operated Best Water Truck Service and was a Marine Corps veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Jane; one son, Perry Ursem of Las Vegas; and one daughter, Melody Ventam of Hawaii.
