Sidney Acirbo
Sidney Acirbo, 57, of Las Vegas died Jan. 29 in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 17, 1946, in Hawaii. A resident for six years, he was a carpenter, an Air Force veteran and a member of Carpenters Local 1977.
He is survived by his wife, Glenda; one son, Kris; one sister, Laura Flanigan; and one grandchild.
Visitation will be 11 a.m. until a 1 p.m. service Saturday in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North.
Robert J. Cook
Robert J. Cook, 81, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born Dec. 4, 1922, in Dike, Iowa. A resident for 17 years, he was a retired motel manager, a World War II Navy veteran and a member of the Elks.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy; one daughter, Judy Schubich; one son, Jim Cook; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.
Margaret 'Marge' Gross
Margaret "Marge" Gross, 79, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. She was born Nov. 16, 1924, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for 27 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by two daughters, Deborah DeVorak of Henderson and Donna Krutka of Las Vegas; one son, David Gross of Las Vegas; one sister, Josephine Avarello of Monroe Township, N.J.; one brother, Faust Mazzarella of Lakewood, N.J.; and four grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 3-8 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 9 a.m. Saturday in Palm Chapel, Eastern. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
The family suggests contributions to the donor's favorite charity.
Richard C. Jensen
Richard C. Jensen, 56, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born Sept. 11, 1947, in Scottsbluff, Neb. A resident for 51 years, he was a retired electronics technician in the gaming industry, a Vietnam War Navy veteran and a member of the Operating Engineers union.
He is survived by one son, Daryl Jensen, two daughters, Michelle Jensen and Wendy Jensen, and his father, George Jensen, all of Las Vegas; and one sister, Yvonne Robinson of Salt Lake City.
Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.
George E. Kraeer
George E. Kraeer, 78, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born June 5, 1925, in Ardmore, Okla. A resident for 38 years, he was a retired heavy equipment operator, a World War II and Korean War Navy Seabee, a member of the Operating Engineers Local 12 and the Masons, a lifetime member of the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He is survived by his wife, Florine; three daughters, Michelle Lopez and Amy Cozzens, both of Las Vegas, and Lonnie Taylor of Salt Lake City; one stepson, Michael Cozzens of Montana; one stepdaughter, Belle Hunt of Salt Lake City; and his twin brother, Fred Kraeer of McLoud, Okla.; six grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Additional visitation is scheduled one hour prior to a noon service Saturday in Palm Chapel, Eastern. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
Obrien Love
Obrien Love, 55, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born March 28, 1948, in Mississippi. A resident for two years, he worked in construction.
He is survived by his mother, Christine Ellis, and one sister, Barbara Ellis, both of Las Vegas; four brothers, Clayborn Ellis Jr. of Las Vegas, Clarence Ellis of Indiana, Craig Ellis of Canada and Eddie Pratt of California.
Visitation is scheduled 4-6 p.m. today in American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in American Burial and Cremation Services. A private burial will follow.
Kathleen Marcus
Kathleen Marcus, 78, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. She was born Sept. 8, 1925, in Waynesboro, Va. A resident for one year, she was a retired school crossing guard.
She is survived by one son, Richard Marcus of Las Vegas; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Wayne Douglas Marks
Wayne Douglas Marks, 43, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Henderson. He was born April 22, 1960, in Henderson and was a member of Alcoholics Anonymous.
He is survived by his companion, Joyce Santo, one son, Robbie Maldoon, and two brothers, Daniel Marks and David Marks, all of Las Vegas.
Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
Rose Marie Mischnick
Rose Marie Mischnick, 64, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born June 2, 1939, in New York City. A resident for 10 years, she was an administrative assistant for an insurance company.
She is survived by her husband, Ken Mischnick of Las Vegas.

Tyra Nelson
Tyra Nelson, 86, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. A homemaker, she was born May 17, 1917, in Connecticut.
She is survived by one son, Allen Nelson of Las Vegas.
No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in Bridgeport, Conn. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
Hilda Rosa Sanchez
Hilda Rosa Sanchez, 71, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospice. She was born Aug. 30, 1932, in Havana. A resident for 19 years, she was a retired hotel kitchen worker.
She is survived by one son, Carlos Cervantes of Las Vegas; and one daughter, Maria Henderson of Henderson.
A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.
Jeanette K. Thompson
Jeanette K. Thompson, 66, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born Nov. 6, 1937, in Colorado. A resident for 40 years, she was a retired bar manager.
She is survived by her husband, Gary D.; one son, Craig W. Thompson of Pahrump; two daughters, Wendy L. Valvo and Tamara J. Thompson, both of Las Vegas; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 3-7 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be noon Sunday in Palm Chapel, Eastern. Graveside services will be 1:30 p.m. Sunday in Paradise Memorial Gardens, 6200 S. Eastern Ave.
