Meet the Snowdens
The Snowden family, one of Las Vegas' oldest, will meet with the public at 3 p.m. Saturday at the West Las Vegas Arts Center, 947 W. Lake Mead Blvd. Admission is free. 229-4800.

The Las Vegas-Clark County Library District is sponsoring the following programs throughout the city to celebrate February, African-American History Month:
4 p.m. Monday -- "People Can Fly," an adventure told through spoken word, song and dance, Green Valley Library, 2797 N. Green Valley Pkwy.
10 a.m. Tuesday -- "People Can Fly," Clark County Library, 1401 E. Flamingo Road.
1 p.m. Tuesday -- "People Can Fly," Enterprise Library, 25 E. Shelbourne Ave.
7 p.m. today -- "Urban Artists," featuring performance artist Aksis Ajubu, West Las Vegas Library, 951 W. Lake Mead Blvd.
11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday -- "Remembering the Freedoms," a two-day festival featuring art, plays, dance and film, West Charleston Library, 6301 W. Charleston Blvd.
6 p.m. Monday -- "Reflections in Poetry Contest," West Las Vegas Library, 951 W. Lake Mead Blvd.

Documentary
The documentary "James Baldwin: The Price of the Ticket," will be screened at 3 p.m. Saturday at the West Las Vegas Arts Center, 947 W. Lake Mead Blvd., as part of an African-American film series. Admission is free. 229-4800.
'Parting Glances'
The movie "Parting Glances" will be screened at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Winchester Cultural Center, 3130 S. McLeod Drive, as part of the Out of the Celluloid Closet series. Tickets are $3. 455-7340.
