Hospital groundbreaking set

Thursday, Feb. 5, 2004 | 11 a.m.

Catholic Healthcare West plans to break ground Tuesday on a new hospital in the southwest Las Vegas Valley.

The San Francisco-based hospital operator will build St. Rose Dominican Hospital-San Martin Campus, which will be CHW's third Las Vegas-area hospital. The hospital will be on Warm Springs Road between Durango Road and Buffalo Drive and will have about 140 beds when it opens in 2006.

San Martin will offer most acute-care services including emergency and in-patient pediatrics. A 100,000-square-foot medical office building will accompany the hospital.

CHW also owns two St. Rose Dominican Hospital campuses in Henderson: Rose de Lima and Siena.
