Domestic fight ends in two deaths

A 46-year-old man apparently shot and killed his 41-year-old wife and then killed himself outside their home in the 2800 block of East St. Louis Avenue Tuesday, police said.
Metro Police responded to 911 calls about gunshots being fired in front of the house about 9:30 p.m., and when officers arrived they found two bodies lying in the driveway, Sgt. Kent Hefner said.
The dead couple was identified by the Clark County coroner's office as Martha Lopez-Nararro and Jose Luis Otero.
Witnesses told police the two had been in their driveway arguing when the man shot and killed his wife and then immediately turned the gun on himself, police said.
Friends and family members of the couple were inside the house when the shootings occurred, Hefner said.
A neighbor who would not give her name said the couple had a history of domestic violence.
"I know them because I walk my dog by their house every day and talk to them," she said. "Before I even knew which house this happened at, I assumed it was this couple. They were always arguing out in the open."
